Wine deb repositories
Hi,
http://www.winehq.org/site/download-deb shows that users should get latest
apt sources from wine.budgetdedicated.com.
wine.budgetdedicated.com resolves to 88.159.206.7, 81.171.111.184 and
2001:4de0:aaac:0:2456::2. 88.159.206.7 is dropping connections.
81.171.111.184 is not available. I don't use ipv6.

Problems with Wine on Debian
Hello all,
I am fairly new to Linux, so I hope that the following problem is not just me being ... new to Linux.
I have been trying to install Wine on Debian (Etch 4.09 I think it is called). I first tried to use the
apt-get install Wine
command followed by the winecfg (creating the .wine folder), but when I tried to run the notepad.exe (i.e. with the command wine

New Ubuntu Breezy and Dapper APT repository - stop using sourceforge!
Greetings folks,
Since the sourceforge apt repository is woefully limited to just one
distribution version, and because it is exceedingly slow and times out a
lot, budgetdedicated.com has graciously donated us a blazing fast server
to host the fresh Ubuntu packages.
To use the APT repository, simply edit 'sudo
gedit /etc/apt/sources.list' and then add the following lines, depending

http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt does a 404 error
Well I'm new here, so first, hi all there ^^. I'm here because initially when I tried to install the latest wine version on Ubuntu 9.04, I was following the instructions and I saw a 404 error. I saw also a lot of post relating 404 errors, but they were user-side errors.
So I checked it myself, and I saw that putting http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt on the browser bar makes it give a

Offline YUM repository setup working but yum with --installroot fails
I use a local, off-line repository for CentOS plus updates for my
development network (my setup for many years). By design, the
repository has no physical connection to the Internet. Everything seems
to be setup correctly and works fine for installs/updates. However I am
trying to use the --installroot option for YUM and it is complaining
about not finding a mirror. I removed the lines about

Unable to access Debian repository.

But in addition right now, an 'apt-get update' fails

Repository wine & debmirror
Hello. At us on work the local repository is created. It is updated by the program debmirror. In Ubuntu 9.04 for creation of a local repository on an original repository should be file Packages.bz2 differently debmirror gives out an error. You in the repository could not create the same file for debmirror? For example http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/jaunty/main/binary-i386/ is Packages.bz2,

winbind offline logon
Hello,
I'd like to have more information about the winbind offline logon.
Could I for example use pam_winbind on a linux system (domain member)
for ssh, this works fine (the PDC is samba also). What I understood is
that if I stop my PDC, I should still be able to connect with ssh as it
uses pam_winbind. But that doesn't work :(

[LLVMdev] LLVM SVN Repository Offline for Maintenance Tomorrow
Hi John-
Will this also mean a purging of the llvm-commits archive, to remove the diffs
with the guilty files in them?

Also, I managed to set things up so that you can use svn diff and svn up
but not svn commit (I basically disabled commit access for everyone for
the time being).

wine.budgetdedicated.com is back up!
No 0.9.59 as yet - but I emailed budgetdedicated.com to ask, and it
turns out the Apache httpd on that virtual server (it's got its own
virtual server) wasn't running, so Markus at budgetdedicated restarted
it. I replied to him thanking him from all Wine's Ubuntu/Debian users

wine git hardy systray issue
I'm totally stumped. I'm running Hardy Heron and wine from git (I just
updated about 3 hours ago) and I'm having the systray issue where wine apps
in the systray just show up as blank space and you cannot interact with the
systray icon.
This issue was supposedly fixed in 0.9.60 and backported into the Hardy
repos, but no matter what I do I can't get it fixed. I've tried the
