you can in gnome right click and associate a file type to be opened with an application! just right click, properties, open with -> add blah blah blah ... you know the drill, its not the issue here. but what I should write as command to prompt gnome to open utorrent, add the torrent file, and do whatever i want?

Hi I have found that utorrent doesn't display its systray icon unless I switch from dual screen to single screen. When I login to twinview the systray icon is missing but if I use nvidia-settings I can switch to a single screen. and back and have a systray icon. I'd like using utorrent.exe without the need of the X server. The new versions can be controlled by web so the lack of the window it should not be a problem. I tried starting wine utorrent.exe /HIDE outside X but it does not work since it tries to create anyhow a window. Is even possible starting an X application without X? Thanks
