Properly rating my submissions
Hi, I just wanted to verify the appdb rules/format so I correctly make my submissions in the future. I was surprised when I received an admin edit after submitting: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=22285&iTestingId=59851
recently. The game worked completely flawlessly for me, so I submitted it as a "Platinum" rating. However, since I had to set Wine to

Regression From Platinum:Fallout1&2
Cursor in game is very slow so game is unplayable for me (the same problem is with Fallout 2). I wonder how those games can be rated as platinum with existing bug:

"Serious Error" with Mac OS X Leopard
I've successfully downloaded and run a number of simple Windows programs using Wine. But I've had no success with any programs that require an installer. The installation process seems to work properly, but then when I try to run the app, I get
Code:
The program <programname.exe> has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Status on OSX Intels?
I'm just wondering if someone could give a quick overview of OSX Wine for Mac's with Intel chips? Does it work? And is there a list of apps that are compatible?
I really want to try and install IWD2 on my MacBook- it is currently rated at 'Platinum' but does that also apply to OSX?
Thanks for anyone who can take the time to answer these questions,
Regards,

Clarification of ratings...
I was browsing apps and looking for games that run in Wine as Gold or better.
The issue is that I see many apps listed as gold that require recompiling Wine with patches to get them to work. From my understanding, any application that requires code changes should be listed as garbage and tied to a patch/bug to be able to operate. That and any application that ranks higher should run under a

WINE and Finale 2010
I just switched my Dell Dimension 2400 from WIndows XP to Ubuntu Linux 10.0.4 Lucid Lynx. I downloaded and installed Finale 2010. WHen I try to open the program, however, it tries to run (I see the outlines of windows for a second) but then doesn't open. I am completely new to Linux and have no idea what to look for to fix this. I trust someone here will know the answer, because I saw that

Keyboard not recognized. Help, please.
Hello, all.
Wine's Notepad captures my keyboard input perfectly, but nothing else does. All the software I've installed so far is silver-rated and up on the AppDB (except for some small programs that aren't even there... I'll add entries just as soon as I get this fixed). This includes, for example, Bulk Rename Utility, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne and World of Goo, all three

Source Engine games - Low FPS (Wine 1.3.15)
The AppDB lists Team Fortress 2 as Platinum. It says it should run "flawlessly out-of-the-box."
In Windows, I can max out all of the settings and get a steady 100+ FPS.
In Wine, I have to set everything to Low, and even then, I still only get 20-30 FPS, occasionally dropping down into the 0-10 range when multiple players are on the screen.
That doesn't sound flawless. Aside from

Runaway 2 fails to run
I'm trying to play Runaway - The Dream of the Turtle under Wine. The game is listed as platinum in the AppDB, so I didn't expect a lot of problems. However, when I try to run it I get this in terminal and nothing else happens:

Can someone change the AppDB Status Change colors
I know it's a small thing, but it's been bugging the heck out of me for a few years now....
The colors you picked for the AppDB status change are horrible and don't help to communicate information at all. In fact, it actually hinders proper reading of the graph,
The issue is that "Platinum", "Silver", and to a lesser extent, "Garbage" are almost the same

0.9.60 Still doesn't do Bryce 5.5 correctly.
Just a few weeks ago, I reported a regression according to which Bryce 5.5 would at least display its application window correctly, until WINE v0.9.56 came along. Next, I posted here hoping that WINE developers would at least test Bryce themselves, to try working on this bug. And to that end, I had given a URL here, from which the application can be downloaded for free.
It was due to my own

lattice-dotplot: resize axis
dear all,
I want to make a dotplot with ratings from Items in 6 ItemsGroups.
I reordered the items by rating within each group.
I plotted the items by rating conditional on ItemGroup.
The ordering works as I wanted but my y-aches labels (items) within
each ItemGroup are now unequally spaced, e.g., in some panels there is a
gap between one lower rated item and the next higher, to give a picture

PCA with random effects
I have the results of a rating study in which ~30 participants rated a subset
of 20 items on 25 different dimensions.
I would like to perform PCA on these ratings to reduce the 25 different
dimensions. However, instead of doing this on the mean ratings for each
item, I would like to perform the PCA at the level of individual ratings. I
am assuming that in order to do this I have to specify the

[OT] how do I remove a battery
I've got an MSI K9N Platinum MS 7250 VER 1.1
motherboard with a dead battery.
The battery mounts vertically:

To me, the tab on the right would seem to need moving.
It does not want to move.
I am reluctant to apply any more force than I
already have without knowing how to apply it.
How do I remove the battery?

Asset Navigator and wine
I'm extremely new to wine and I'd like to completely move off of windows at
work but I'm running into problems getting the a program (Asset Navigator)
to work with wine. I launch it and I get a list of errors then straight to
the debugger. Here is a list from the terminal window . (Is there a way to
get the debug output in file format?)
