Has anyone done any testing recently ?

Autocad file corruption...
I am having problems with autocad file corruption. My users are
draftsman and access project files via samba over the network. This
problem occurs after a file has been worked on and someone attempts open
a file that they were working on. There is no indication of a problem
while the file is open and being worked on. But when they try to

AutoCAD 2000i runs only from a terminal
AutoCAD 2000i runs fine under Wine when I start it from the command line. However, if I try to start it from Applications>Wine>Programs>AutoCAD2000i I get a frozen AutoCAD screen. I get the same result if I right click on the acad.exe file and select"Open with Wine Windows Program Loader".
Any help as to where to start looking would be appreciated.

Wine and opengl error!!!
Hi all,
I'm having trouble running windows games from Fedora 9, 64 bit, using wine
rc3. I've tried Command & Conquer 3, Age Of Mythology and Jazz Jackrabbit 2.
All games fail. I mostly get an error saying that direct3d9 won't work
without opengl. However, I have opengl.
I've run glxgears and it runs fine. Following is the output:

AutoCAD / file lock problem / Samba 3.0.10
Hi,
I am facing a similar problem to what I faced sometime ago with Excel 11
when saving a modified xls file on a smb share: the application was
saying the file is already used by another user (although this was not
the case). The Excel problem was solved by adding a registry string
somewhere in Excel registry key (documented in the Microsoft knowledge
base).
Now we are facing the same

Hi ruelle,
As Austin said, MText crash (point 1 of post you linked) is fixed in git.
Point 2, aka the DIB engine, won't very probably never be accepted on wine

(Demo CD available) Has anyone tested AutoCad 2000 with any recent wine ?
AutoDesk now offers a free 15 day demo CD of AutoCad. I hope some of the talanted wine developers take the opportunity to get the CD and try to get it to work.

Samba just Slow with AutoCad?
Brian
I might suggest a couple of setting changes on your XP machines:
1) Open services and stop/disable Web Client
2) Open windows explorer, go to tools>folder options, click the View tab,
and uncheck the "Automatically search for network folders and printers"
(I'm assuming Windows XP Professional on these settings)
Restart and try your printers again.
