Hi, I am building my own TCP daemon for easing some routine admin stuff... I am no expert on security,. I would really appreciate it if someone sent me some pointers to writing TCP daemons that are hacker-proof( i know there is nothing like that...but I do not want to be making mistakes in coding that are well known.. ;) The daemon runs as root....so that is why I am woried.... Thx, Arni

Is there any binary I could download that I could put on a

Ubuntu users, please upgrade to Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy for Wine 0.9.60 and later
To prevent conflicts when upgrading to 8.04, older releases will no longer be getting Wine updates. Ubuntu Hardy will be released this Thursday, and contains many fixes that also affect Wine, such as support for some missing libraries in the 64 bit version. By default, Ubuntu's update manager will disable third party repositories on upgrade, which will leave you with the Wine included in

Child windows doesn't interact with mouse input.
Hi all, I'm quite new to Wine, but sofar I just LOVE it! It just blew me away how many essential windows-only apps now run under Linux. It installs and it runs just perfect, except that the childwindows it generates (which are crucial) don't accept any click from the mouse. To make

I know I can download wine over at http://www.winehq.org/site/download however trying to install the *.deb file coughs up a dependency issue. something about binfmt-support. and to be clear, I am doing a bit of
