c(), or cat(), or paste(), all cause unwanted reordering
Hi, I would expect the following: paste( as.character( cat( rep( ".", 2 ) ) ), "a string", as.character( cat( rep( ".", 3 ) ) ) ); to yield this string: ". . a string . . .", but instead it yields this: > . .. . .[1] " a string " The third argument has been stuck immediately after the first. The same thing happens with cat() or c().

I've removed all shares listed in SWAT, including the "Printers" share, but the directory is somehow still being generated by Samba. Is there any way to cause Samba to either hide or stop

Suppose this is the data: mydata <- data.frame(foo=1:3, bar=c("M","M","F")); I would like to convert this to a unnamed list (json array) of key-value pairs. For example like this: apply(data.frame(foo=1:3, bar=c("M","M","F")),1,as.list)

Unwanted carriage returns storing dataframes with dbWriteTable
If I save a dataframe with a character-typed last column to a relational database with dbWriteTable, the values in the last column of the resulting table in the database will have a '\r' (carriage return) appended. If I read back the dataframe with dbReadTable the last column in the resulting dataframe has also '\r' appended (see protocol below). Setting or unsetting sql-mode
