help with a demo that will not launch
I'm pretty new to wine, and still learning quite a bit. That said, my main focus was to get an application to work on a linux laptop for my mother. In the process I found that the demo version has all kinds of issues with wine, and I submitted the application to appdb. Before i submit a bug, i want to make sure i'm being complete in my testing. Anyone willing to help out?

Testing Starcraft 2 newly release demo with Wine
Hi. Starcraft 2 just released a free demo so I thought I would give Wine another chance to prove itself worthy (because whenever I try to install Beta or the actual Starcraft 2 - it could run but it's slow, laggy and many many black screens). Alas - despite following blogs and advises to adjust wine and use git to download latest source codes

Some hooks in 3 Star Wars games
Despite being somewhat benign, because technically the rest of the content of the games work, these hooks make them quite unplayable because they are related to important parts of the games. Tie Fighter (collector's edition): the game crashes when you try to look at the inflight menus : http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=6923&iTestingId=19464 X-Wing

Non-Parametric Adventures in R
I just started using R and I'm having all sorts of "fun" trying different things. I'm going to document the different things I'm doing here as a kind of case study. I'm hoping that I'll get help from the community so that I can use R properly. Anyways, in this study, I have demographic data, drug usage data, and side effect data. All of this is loaded into a csv

ABA's Brain Explorer and the OpenGL offset problem
I've seen reports on appdb of SketchUp having the same problems. Have these been resolved yet? I think this has been called the "OpenGL offset problem". http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=6842&iTestingId=21368 > B) The area between the window pane and the edge of the OpenGL window > never updates, collects copies of other windows, is

Mouse click works in some parts and not others
I am new to winehq. I want to use it to run a program called Bestcase but it is not working. Do I just have to wait for something to happen to fix it or for someone to care enough about Bestcase to change wine so that it runs Bestcase? Is there something that I can do to possibly make it work? What are the steps required to get this program working under wine? I don't know what the

Re: NWN2 Unable to Detect 3D error.
To anyone who might be reading their way through this. Follow andrew's "How I did It " post here.===>http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=8999. It's most of the way down at the bottom of the page. He goes the long way when he's talking about patching, if you use the auto patcher, and right-click outside the text window, like on the weird guys

Hello, I'm trying to install The Rosetta Stone v2.08 (language learning software) on a Debian Squeeze (w/ linux 2.6.28-2~snapshot.12850 for my wireless card) using wine 1.1.18. Running the autorun.exe (with ALSA as audio driver in winecfg) starts on working well, asking me what language the install should be in, and then allowing me to click on "Run installer". At that point,

Crysis first level load crash.
Hi I more or less followed the AppDB how to (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=10107&iTestingId=59999) for Crysis. Copying in the DLLs failed to solve the problem, so I rather installed directX9 from the latest winetricks as suggested in the other Crysis version
