New TransGaming Patch
This worked with: Wine CVS from Jan 29th + Transgaming patch XFree 4.0.2 NVidia drivers 0.9.6 Had to turn off DGA, and force wine to manage created windows, otherwise I get a glXMakeCurrent error when it tries to set the current GLX rendering context. The frame rate isn't quite windows, but the demo is certainly playable. Good luck, Dan "Chris Howells"

Getting started developing for Wine.
Hi, I'm a Windows developer and recent Linux convert! The Wine project is very interesting to me, and instead of just waiting around for others to make improvements, I'd really like to start investigating and making my own fixes to some of my favorite Windows applications so that I can enhance the Wine experience, as well as become more familiar with Linux (and open source) development in

Scriptaculous 1.6.5 Checkbox problems
I''d report this on the rails trac site but it won''t let me open a new ticket. I figured this was important enough to bring this up now. I replaced the prototype version in Scriptaculous 1.6.4 with the version in 1.6.5 in a rails site I''m working on. I noticed though that even though I was clicking the checkbox to confirm the acceptance of a terms of service that I kept

ATI (rv350) + open-source driver + wine gaming issues
Hello everyone. I seem to have a bit of a problem running some 3D accelerated games under wine, while using the open-source ATI Radeon driver. My graphics card is Radeon 9700, and the open-source drivers overall work much better than the proprietary fglrx. The fglrx driver allows me (in most cases) to run games like Temple of Elemental Evil (particularily) or Morrowind normally, but I can't

Mac OSX (10.5) & wine w/ OpenGL - Info & Issues
Firstly, hello everyone! I'v been using wine under OSX for some time, using macports to install it and it works quite nicely (except for an issue with windows sliding down the screen, which can be fixed by setting a desktop area in winecfg). Sadly I'v not been able to get OpenGL support working. (I am using OSX 10.5.4 with XQuartz (http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki) 2.3.0, which is

Interpretation of result in R
I am trying to do a quasipoisson regression to know if the frequency of drinking of my subject is related to temperature. The problem is that I'm not sure how to interpret my result. 1) Since my result is signifiant, can I tell that the frequency of drinking of my subject increase linearly or exponentially? 2) When I want to quantify the increase, do I need to do an exponential

thanks again
Achim: Thanks again for the conference. We had good fun. I have 2 requests: 1) I'd like to email my R-foundation membership to you. I will scan the form and send just like I did for the meeting. 2) I want a useR t-shirt. After lots of drinking and discussion with Fritz Leisch at dinner on saturday, I feel there will be no chance for an official T-shirt. My question is: any advice/

Hello everyone, here is some php code.
Okay, So remember that question I had last week about taking a bunch of relay servers and greping the status2.xsl file for the number of listeners? I coded it. I have to apologize right now, as its krufty, nasty, braindead code. But it works, and I'm rather proud that after being up as long as I have been up and drinking as much coffee, it works. It should be attached to this e-mail. I
