Authenticating before tests
Hi all,
I''m using Goldberg, an engine that provides roles based access
control for my app. I need to login before I can do controller tests,
but I can''t find any examples of people doing this.
Could someone point me in the right direction?
I thought the simplest way would be to either call the login action
from my other tests before(:all), but I can''t seem to

Welcome to the "Xapian-discuss" mailing list
Hi,
I'm new to Xapian and wanted to know if it has a specific feature. I want
to be able to check the relation between two terms on a page based on how
close they are together on the page. I want to use a combination of n-gram
based labeling and the "slop" feature found in Elasticsearch. Does Xapian
have this/a similar feature? I haven't been able to find any programs that

Metaplot Axis Annotation
Hello,
We are looking to adjust the font size of the axis annotation on the graph
that results from use of the metaplot() function. Metaplot seems to respond
to cex and cex.lab to change those graphical parameters, but it doesn't
respond to cex.axis. Is there a way to work around this by creating a
customized x-axis, and if so, how?
Thanks for all your help. Syntax is below.

debian squeeze i386 test package available
Howdy,
I'm working on reviving the debian packages. I haven't done debian
packaging in a while, so I've put an alpha build of 1.3.8 on
http://www.austinenglish.com/blah. Currently only squeeze/i386, but if
these work well, and there is interest, I can do the other
releases/64-bit versions.
Please let me know if they do/don't work for you, or any other feedback.
Cheers,
Austin

Username Case Sensitivity vs. Lower Casing
Hi there
The Release Notes for Samba 3.0.8 from Nov 7, 2004 stated the following:
===========================
Change in Winbindd Behavior
===========================
All usernames returned by winbindd are now converted to lower
case for better consistency. This means any winbind installation
relying on the winbind username will need to rename existing
directories and/or files based on the

dtrace''ing at module unload time
Hi,
I am trying to trace some functions that are executed at detach time, and it seems that just
having dtrace around to instrument the module is causing a short circuit, whereas modunload will
return (device busy). I understand that this makes sense, but how can I get around this if I
want to trace stuff at detach time?
Thanks,

Help! How to mix win32 and native os calls in code?
Hi
I have a tool that I am running under Mac version of Wine. What I am
doing is installing the tool under wine (i.e wine <path to installer
pkg.exe>) and then running it from wine.
It uses an api to capture current screen (BitBlt api). Under Mac, it
is capturing the X windows frame buffer instead of native Quartz frame
buffer. I have source code for this tool. I am thinking of

Integrating dovecot 1.01 into CentOS-3.8 systemw with chroot passwd dirs?
Hello. I'm administrating a CentOS 3.8 linux system (RHEL3) and I just replaced
the imap-2002d-12 package that came with the system, with a dovecot 1.01
package I obtained through the dovecot home page. The problem I have, is that
many of my POP3 users have jailed user accounts set up through wu-ftpd, where
the dir field is of the form /home/group/./pop/user, and wu-ftpd chroots them

master detail problem
Hello all,
Has anyone done one of these? I''ve done similar things in java and php,
by having easy access to SQL statements. I am new to Ruby/Rails( I''ve
been at it for 10 days ) and thus far find it extremely confusing. I''ve
got a bit more of a handle on it from the Agile book that someone loaned
me, but I still find it hard to understand.
Anyway, I''ve got
