Age of Empire 2 GOLD with Expansion The Conqueror not work
Hello everyone,
i'm new in world of ubuntu and generally little ferrate on linux (i have studied it at school 7 years ago).
Grin said that I wanted your help to run this game original and which I still play very often on Direct Connect.
I have the 1.1.7 version of Wine which I run perfectly SPORE without any problem, and even installations AGEII and AGEIITheConqueror be successful. I

Text corruption in DAoC Labyrinth - no error?
I'm having a hard time figuring out if this is reported somewhere else. In the current version of Wine, Dark Age of Camelot - Labyrinth client, a scroll with a different color of tect seems to frequently trigger the chat windows corrupting graphically to the point of becoming unusable. The inventory screen, and the system messages that splash in midscreen are also vulnerable to corruption. In

How to work Age of Empires II...
Hello all,
First off, I wanted to shoot off a big thanks for the folks who spend their valuable time working on WINE and also on these forums to help out computer illiterate folks like myself. Thanks for "fighting the good fight".
Anyway, onward with the question.
I currently have a cracked version of AOE II, including the Conquerors expansion on my computer. Before I got it on the

[LLVMdev] Pseudo instructions expansion
Hi Vladimir,
The pass you refer to isn't used by the assembler at all. That's strictly a compiler codegen thing. The assembler equivalents are expressed via InstAlias constructions. Again, though, those are for a single output instruction, so you need something more. Sprecifically, you can handle assembly pseudo-instructions in C++ code. Something like the ARM assembler's

[LLVMdev] Pseudo instructions expansion
Hi all,
I'm trying to solve a problem that we have in implementation of the assembler for Mips platform in llvm. Mips has some pseudo instructions that, depending on the arguments can be emitted as one or more real instructions by the assembler.
For example load immediate instruction can have multiple expansions depending on a size of immediate operand:
This expansion is for 0 ≤ j ≤ 65535.

[LLVMdev] Pseudo instructions expansion
Hi Jim,
thank you for the quick response. I have used InstAlias in some cases, but these are really simple pseudo instructions where the pseudo instruction is more like a special case of existing one, like using fixed operand or simply a more human understandable way of presenting an operation. I know that there are predicates available to improve matching, but can InstAlias use conditions to

Poor performance in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
Hi,
So I'm going to be upfront about this: I don't know how to fix this problem or even who to talk to. I've tried the JK community, #winehq, #ati, and even the ATI forums, but no there was help to be offered.
Here's the problem...
Playing Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=122) on Wine, I get such horrid framerates

Lighthouse:The Dark Being - crashed or hung (0.9.56)
Hi,
I've now seen this same error twice. I'm playing the game and
suddenly everything hangs. Ctrl-C kills the game and I'm back to the
terminal.
Before I report a bug I'm wondering if there are any settings in
winecfg I should try? The game's setup program asks if I wanted to
enable DirectX 8 features in the game. I could reinstall the game with
those turned off it

WINE on FreeBSD: Dark 3D applications
Hello WINE users,
From time to time I use WINE to play games such as Max Payne and recently
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. However, for some reason both games (or any 3D
game, I imagine) appear to be very dark. The in-game brightness either has
very little noticeable effect or none at all.
I'm running FreeBSD 6.0-BETA4 and WINE 20050830 with an nVidia GeForce 4 MX
440 and the official

RFC: Inline expansion of memcmp vs call to standard library
Currently on PowerPC, calls to memcmp are not expanded and are left as
library calls. In certain conditions, expansion can improve performance
rather than calling the library function as done for functions like memcpy,
memmove, etc. This patch (https://reviews.llvm.org/D28163) is an initial
implementation for PowerPC to expand memcmp when the size is an 8 byte
multiple.
The approach currently

Newbie help
Hey there,
I am not new to World of Warcraft but this is the first time I will be playing in ages and I have forgot how it works. When I say "it" I mean downloading ect.
Right, I own two that should install Vanilla but I have lost, but I don't own any expansions. My little three year old brother has took disc two out of the box and hidden it so I cannot install the game again. I

RFC: Inline expansion of memcmp vs call to standard library
Improving lowering for memcmp is definitely something we should do for
all targets. Doing it in a target specific way is decidedly non-ideal.
It looks like we already have some code in SelectionDAGBuilder which
tries to optimize the lowering for the memcpy library call. I am a bit
confused by the problem you are trying to solve. Are you specifically
interested in lowering for constant

[wine 1.29] - Warhammer 40000 Dark Crusade Demo
hi guys!
I'm using ubuntu 9.04 with wine 1.29 and I'm trying to run the "Warhammer 40000 Dark Crusade Demo" (version 1.2 I think).
the installer works fine, the game start, the audio is good, the intro plays fine, but after the creation of a new profile, I cannot choose any menu item.
they "respond" to mouse over but nothing happens when I "clic" on them...

RFC: Inline expansion of memcmp vs call to standard library
Can I make another suggestion: create an intrinsic for memory equality,
e.g. llvm.memcmp_eq.p0i8.p0i8.i64(i8*a, i8*b, i64 len). This intrinsic
would return zero if the memory regions are equal, and nonzero otherwise.
However, it does NOT return any notion of "greater" or "less".
Many applications require only determining equality, rather than a total
ordering. Given that

Game very slow (neverwinter Nights 2 + Expansion)
After 1 day of work i finally got NWN2 working.
The game starts, and everything seems to work.
(even the Securom copyright protection).
But in the game I have a big problem: the FPS are around 0.5. :(
I have tried some things, but I'm am not experienced enough with wine,
to fix this issue.
(Others have 30 FPS with similar hardware)
The things I have done:

RFC: Inline expansion of memcmp vs call to standard library
With the intrinsic support for ‘memcpy’ and ‘memset’ the operands also have associated alignment operands. I think that ‘memcmp’ should also provide the alignment information for each of the source operands (when statically known). In some cases this will lead to more optimal alignment aware lowering, and for targets for which unaligned access is costly or fatal, it can be lowered safely.
