The program will only export the DVD slideshows to a disc, not an image, so I need to be able to use the burner or somehow fake it and save to an image. Does anyone know how I can either get the burner working or (ideally) fake the burner and create an image instead?? Thanks so much for the

SATA DVD Burner / AHCI / CentOS 4.7 (kernel: 2.6.9-78.0.22.EL)
OK, it seems that the kernel I have (stock CentOS 4.7: 2.6.9-78.0.22.EL i686) seems to gronk the nVideo SATA controller in AHCI mode. It is NOT able to deal with the SATA DVD Burner I have. It is a "Sony Optiarc DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model AD-7241S-0B LightScribe Support". Is there some special magic I need to do? Here is the relevant bit from the boot up (SATA ports

Only 1.2x when burning DVD
Hello all I've got a Matshita dvd-ram uj-830sx that is performing very bad on my freshly installed CentOS 5. I'm using k3b and get a steady 1.2x which is way too slow. I think it is supposed to do ~8x and the discs are 16x. Any suggestions? (hdparm -c 1 -d 1 /dev/hdc turned on 32-bit IO but only helped slightly) Johnny Ljunggren

Problem burning DVD+RW discs
Good Day-- I've been backing up my essential stuff to DVD+R discs for quite a while with no trouble at all. Last week I tried backing up to a DVD+RW with no trouble at all. Is there a bug in CD/DVD Creator or am I doing something incorrectly. Obviously,
