Starcraft 2 MOUSE problem
Hi, and thanks for taking your time to read this.
I recently installed Starcraft II using play on linux. The game is running perfectly and smoothly, but I have a problem with the mouse. In the games menus the cursor seems to be completely unsynchronized with where the mouse should be. For example I can see buttons glow as if I were hovering over them when my cursor is in a completely different

wine (Starcraft) in second X window: no mouse, sound & keyboard
Hi,
I'm using a script to run Starcraft in a second X window system. (Full
screen) Well I get into the game and then I can do nothing:
Mouse does not work
Keyboard does not work
No sound (or maybe there is but I can't hear it cause I can't move the mouse
over a button.)
When I just use the command "wine starcraft.exe" in my first X window in a
winedesktop (not full screen),

wisotool: automated game installer, now supports 12 games
wisotool is a handy winetricks-like script for automatically
installing games from .iso files copied from your own dvds
(or, if the game is freely downloadable, it will download it).
Just like winetricks, it is intended to make testing Wine easier,
but might be useful for people who simply want to install games.
Unlike winetricks, wisotool is quiet by default; it doesn't ask any

Allow Directx apps to stop the mouse leaving their window
Hi,
When I turn on:
"Allow Directx apps to stop the mouse leaving their window"
in Wine configuration
it does not work?
I have to run Steam games in a window
because in full screen my keyboard does not work.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

The good old winecfg audio tab
Ok, I know this is probably very redundant, but I'm getting the Audio
tab crash with winecfg. The error output is:
wine: unhandled page fault on write access to *insert hex numbers here*
(thread 0009)
Modules: Cannot get info on modules while no process is loaded
etc.
After the last few hours spent surfing dozens of forums and threads,
none of the fixes have worked.

Dune 2000 - no keyboard response - good rendering speed
Hi,
I've installed Dune 2000 and the 1.06 patch in Wine, and it runs very well,
except that it doesn't accept keyboard input. It wasn't any better without the
patch. The entry at the appdb doesn't mention anything about it. Does anybody
know how to fix it?
I've already tried changing all the settings on the "graphics" tab
in "winecfg". Half-Life, for

Starcraft mouse help please ??
Hi:
I can get Starcraft to run well enough, but I want the Wine Starcraft
Window that comes up on my desktop to grab my mouse. When I say grab I
mean that I don't want my mouse to go outside of the wine window until I
exit the program. Is this possible? I'm using XFree 4.0.2 and kernel
2.4.2 if that matters.
I must say, wine is very impressive.
Thanks all,

Starcraft II 1.1.2: Cannot load libGL
Hey everybody, I tried Googling specific problems with this but could not find any. I was working under wine1.3.4 when Starcraft II was in 1.1.1, but after successfully installing the patch 1.1.2 (for Starcraft II that is), I am unable to start the game, and it officially complains about DirectX not being installed. However, that's not true as we all know...
The terminal output is as follows:

no sound
Hello,
I was playing the German version of StarCraft under Debian sid with wine
20050524 without Windows. I had "HardwareAcceleration" = "Emulation" in
[dsound] section of ~/.wine/config. I had the following problem: after
playing for a while without problems (sound was ok), wine said

StarCraft display issues, why is WINE not saving my settings?
Hello, im running Kubuntu 8.10 on my Sony Vaio Laptop; and have WINE installed from the repositories listed in this site.
Im trying to play StarCraft; and while the game does run, the screen is all messed up, instead of displaying full screen it only displays on the top left corner of my screen - It was actually displaying properly in full screen until a couple of days ago - something broke and i

Apps segfaulting, problem with X?
Hello,
I'm having big trouble getting wine to work.
What I basically want to do is get steam to work, now it even fails to launch at all. It updates to 99% and then it segfaults. Other games has done this too (rollercoaster tycoon 2, starcraft 2). I followed the instructions on winehq, removed oriya/samyak fonts and I don't think I've done anything wrong - I've installed steam

Forcing Application Resolutions
so heres the delima (mainly centered around starcraft but also other games) Ideally I'd like to be able to manually set the running resolution of a game, im not sure if this is still doable without the config file but im hoping.
newer games that allow setting the running resolution in there settings are no problem since they all stick to what I tell them to do however older games like

Mouse behaves drunk using Wine
Mouse behaves well in Ubuntu.
Most noticeable when using WoW, but happens using winecfg or wine explorer.exe.
When running WoW BC on Wine 1.0.0 I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the graphics, internet response time, fps.
My problem is the mouse sensitivity and response time is poor. Performing a LARGE figure 8 pattern on the screen in a quick fashion does not work. SMALL figure 8 pattern (approx.

Sliding screen in games [again]
Okay, I've posted this twice before and if I've learned anything with
Linux it's that "patience and persistence is the key".
Anyway, when I play First-Person-Shooters in wine sometimes the screen
will slide if I move the mouse too far to the side. Generally happens
when the game hangs for a second -- trying to catch up with sound or
video or when I drop the console to type

Mouse Cursor not visible in winecfg (Ubuntu 8.04 wine-0.9.60
I installed the latest binary last evening, and I am unable to see my cursor in any applications, most notibly winecfg. I have removed/reinstalled wine, removed my .wine directory to see that they are created.
I also have played with my xorg.conf and enabled/disabled hwcursor and swcursor. I haven't gotten the mouse to be visible with anything I have tried.
It should be noted that my xorg
