VMGL?
Has anyone gotten this working? It seems it is a toolkit to allow guest OSes to have native speed OpenGL rendering. It might it be a good inclusion for Indiana. (To enable people to test it out in a VM.) http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~andreslc/vmgl/ --Brian P.S - The site said it is running on OpenSolaris _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list

More virtio users
It is worthwhile, when designing virtio, to keep in mind as many possible users as possible. In addition to block and net, I see at least the following: - vmgl (paravirtualized 3D graphics) [http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~andreslc/xen-gl/] - scsi (for tape, cd writer, etc.) - framebuffer (with just one request to share the framebuffer?) There are probably more. Any ideas? -- error compiling

Advice on PCIe graphics card for Xen+X86_64 for X
Hello, I used a ScienticLinux 5.0 distro (mimics RedHat 5.0 but merged the Server and Enterprise versions) in a x86_64 arch. I ran into a problem, because while I can have X in the normal kernel, the Xen kernel, when I boot in dom0 is in text mode and can''t load the Nvidia module. This is because Nvidia does not support Xen. There seems to be some patches for other distros (Suse,

OpenGL version / info. needed for WINE to render DirectX
Howdy, the open source radeon driver doesn't get along too well with WINE. Most 3D games render extremely slowly, or not at all. In Project64, to take a random example, I get a lot of Code: fixme:d3d_draw:drawStridedSlow >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION (0x502) from glEnd and previous calls @ drawprim.c / 570 errors. I know this

Shearing in screenshots of DirectX?
I'm trying to take screenshots of the Dawn of War game through Wine. The game runs fine and under Windows it has a built-in screenshot function that dumps a JPEG to a sub-folder. Under Wine the game never gets the print screen request because Compiz or Metacity hijack the signal first and start Gnome-Screenshot. Sometimes the screenshot is okay, but other times the screenshot has

Where to install DirectX 9.0c Nov,2008?
I DLed DirectX 9.0C redistributable and ran it with Wine. I didn't know it would want to know the directory to install to. Its obviously going to be in Wine's drive_c folder, but beyond that I have no idea. I was having some trouble with Winetricks installer so i thought manually would be easier. Anyone know where to install these files?

Re: Trying to run RIFT on OS X 10.6 and Having DirectX Issues
This type of problem usually occurs when setup d3dx9_29.dll is missing from your computer. This dll file can be downloaded from here. http://dllcentral.com/d3dx9_29.dll/9.11.519.0000/ Download it and then extract the downloaded zip file to the Windows System32 folder, which is located in Windows Drive.
