Same problem here. Using Ubuntu 9.04 64bit, Brazilian portuguese. Can type deadkeys everywhere except on wine applications(notepad, office 2007). I'm using scim/scim-bridge(portuguese/japanese) too and works on native linux GTK/QT applications, but doesn't work on wine..... just an extra information. Maybe it helps to solve this issue.... or not. :-)

I need access to either the array keyc2vkey or the function EVENT_event_to_vkey in wine/dlls/winex11.drv/keyboard.c from a wine application. Any idea on how to get at these from a normal winelib app? or how i could compile variations of these functions into a shared library instead of a driver... Thanks
