Funky Font problems with Quicken 2010
I am using wine 1.3.16 on Mac OX 10.6.7, built and installed using osxwinebuilder. I am using it to run Quicken 2010. Quicken installed and runs fine with one exception: One of the fonts used in Quicken is rendered very poorly. Here is an example: [Image: http://altosdesign.com/bugs/fontissue1.jpg ] Searching for this problem led me to a number of posts that suggested using winecfg to set the

I copied riched2.dll and riched32.dll from my Windows partition, then set the override to (native, builtin) in winecfg on the Libraries tab. Alternatively, you could install it with winetricks: Code: wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks sh

Fonts are too small in menu bar
Hi. Is there any chance I can increase the size of my fonts for the applications opened with wine? My resolution is 1600 x 1050 and the size seems to be from 5 to 6 pixels (or dpi) and it really hurts my eyes. All my linux apps are just ok at 10 pixels (or dpi) Thanks in advance Luis

Q about dpi, fonts, gnome, Xorg etc
This has been puzzling me for some time and despite bothering Auntie Google rather a lot, I've yet to find a satisfying answer. As an old-time (since 1981) unix and X guy, I've generally been fairly well-able to get fonts to behave in a rational manner. My needs are pretty simple - I just want 8-point (or 9-point etc) fonts to appear on the screen as 8-point font - ie more or less 8 *

Wine Win16 support in 1.2+ releases
Hi there. Last year I was using Wine 1.2 and 1.3 versions under Linux Mint 11 Katya tyo run an the old Maxis SimFarm. It was able to run but would freeze up after a few hours. Also I noticed there was no sound for the game. I Also ran some Win32 apps, some of which had sound and they had no problems at all. Is the support for Win16 apps not being maintained any more? Currently I am in the middle

Wine font problem
Hi all, I got a problem with Wine. I compiled Wine from source on Debian Squeeze. Everything is working perfect, only fonts aren't loaded well. The Window buttons are always showed as weird characters (differs sometimes) and in games all text exists of squares. See the screens: winecfg: [Image: http://www.andromada.net/forum_files/winecfg.png ] GTA San Andreas Multiplayer: [Image:

Re: Cannot run Win16 installer for Judaic Classics
I found a partial workaround: since this is an old program, which, as far as I can tell, does not use the registry, I simply copied the directory that contains the program files of that program in wine's program files directory, and also added the fonts it needs in wine's font directory, and voila, ... ... it works... ... almost. The problem is that it expects a CDROM in the drive. I

Wine fonts messed up
I started using wine and used it to play return to Castle Wolfenstein which worked great. I installed Adobe Acrofat 7 Professional and now all of the wines menus are small and unreadable. Garbled fonts
When I try to run a certain DirectX app, all of the fonts become garbled. A screenshot is at http://jackmcbarn.no-ip.org/login.png I've already tried setting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver\ClientSideWithRender to N, which didn't appear to have any effect at all. Increasing the DPI increased the font size, but they were still garbled.

Sans Serif Fonts?
Hi All, I am preparing a few plots for publication. Unfortunately the journal requires figures to have all text in a sans serif fonts. I realise that there is support for the use of Hershey vector fonts in the function TEXT, but how do I get the text on axes to be sans serif? For example, the labels and axis values produced from this line of code: plot(SolPC, SorbPC, ylab="Sorbed P

Team Fortress 2 Server List Font
Hello all, I'm trying to get Team Fortress 2 going and so far it's working good minus the fact the fonts for the server list are just about unreadable. I'm running on a clean ~/.wine directory and I had winetricks install: adobeair, d3dx9, corefonts, unifont, vcrun2005, allfonts, flash, amd gecko. problem with small fonts
I just downloaded wine-20050725 and compiled it myself under slackware 10.0. I am not a regular user of wine, but I like to check on it every year or so to see how it is coming along. I am having a problem with small fonts in wine. Sometimes the fonts are just right, and sometimes they are way too small. I can always fix the problem by deleting ~/.wine, forcing wine to create a fresh default

Fonts and Line widths
Hi All R guru's, A couple of simple questions which I cannot find answers to in "an introduction to R" or in the reference manuals. I am running R on Win95, and have plotted up quite a nice box and whisker plot: char<-read.table("n:/reddinm/grifpr~1/survey/char.txt") attach(char) boxplot(Al,Fe,OC,pH, range=0,xaxis=FALSE, ylab="Proportion of Unirigated

fonts in eps files
Hi, I've got a paper ready for publication, but the .eps files I produced are giving the editor problems. I received the following complaint: I tried to rasterize the eps files you sent, but I got a warning message that they contain a font that I don't have. The program will substitute another font, which can result in different placement and wrapping of the text as

Font display problem with Text in UML-Notes of Enterprise Architect (wine-1.1.3 in Ubuntu Hardy)
Hi, I'm having medium success with Enterprise Architect 7.1 in wine. While crossover-office-6.0.0 (in Ubuntu Edgy) is able to display the fonts in the: + Key-Store Config dialog (where you have to enter the product keys) + UML diagram (class diagram) NOTES-Item - this does NOT work with wine-1.1.3 and also the last wine version before 1.0 in Ubuntu (different versions). The strange thing
