Winedevice.exe has caused a serious problem and Flash 8
The program winedevice.exe has caused a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience.
I'm running Macromedia Flash 8 when this error occurs.
I'm also unable to run the "Uninstall Wine Software" program.
When I click it, nothing happens.
This happens with wine 1.1.22 and 1.1.23.
Any ideas?
Thx!

Vorbis in Macromedia Flash (was Icecast in...)
Hi Jack,
It's a good idea. I am going to email macromedia to ask support for ogg in
Flash. Anyway, it is impossible it would be available before end of 2004
because the brand new Flash 2004 was just released.

Macromedia FreeHand MX on Wine, doesn't create new document
Hello.
I have installed Macromedia FreeHand MX under Wine 1.1.1 on Arch Linux.
It installs OK, but I can't create a new document.
When I go on File => New it gives an error ("Could not complete your
request because an error occurred") and then Wine dies with a
segmentation fault.
Final words from Wine before dying:

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hi André,
Yes you got it, with Flash, all your listeners running Windows, MAC and
Linux (but not Linux PPC) will be able to listen to your MP3 (not OGG)
stream through the same player: the flash plug-in. We are still working on
it because it doesn’t work yet when the player is embedded but Assorgia got
successful results with Mozilla/Linux. Read the entire topic if you need
further information.

What is the state of play regarding getting Ogg Vorbis
into Flash? There's often talk about Quicktime, Helix
and DirectShow filters. Has Xiph also been pushing for
getting it included in the Flash product line or is it
not

A Macromedia Shockwave Flash-based Ogg player?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I'm looking for an Ogg/Vorbis player in Macromedia Flash, for embedding into webpages.
I discovered a Java-based player but it's a non-starter. If people have to install things, it's over. They already have flash because almost every website on the damned Internet requires it these days.

Macromedia Flash Loading Issues
I''ve discovered something very odd about the way Rails is handling
Flash media. I am attempting to load a partial that contains the code
for a flash adverstisment for the website. It was working ok when the
code was in the page, but once I pulled it out to a partial (so I
could use it on other pages) it stopped working.

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Sorry,
I forgot to provide the URL: http://macsym.free.fr/player
So we are searching for somebody running Windows with Internet Explorer 5 or
5.5. Just click the link above and tell us if you can hear the music or not.
If you see kilobytes are loaded but no stream is played, wait few seconds.
To check your IE version, go in Help->About Microsoft Explorer.
Thank you VERY MUCH in advance,

Macromedia Flash data (compressed), version 9
I've copied some files from the firefox cache.
According to file, they are Macromedia Flash data (compressed), version 9.
How do I play them locally?
I saw them from a remote site through firefox,
but I cannot seem to play them locally.
neither mplayer nor vlc seems to work.
Pointing firefox at them didn't work either.
Any ideas?

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hi Stephan,
Thanks for reporting. Now we know it doesn't work on IE 5.5/Windows (but it
works on IE5.2 on MAC). You had nice idea to store the file on the icecast2
root. Unfortunately, I already tried it few days ago and it didn't work
either...
Cheers,
MAX

How can wine be available for all users?
I'm using kubuntu 8.04 and I'm able to run three programs that I installed but another user can't. Is there any way to make .wine available for all users? I thought about copying .wine to wine in /usr/lib/wine or /usr/bin/wine.

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hi Assorgia,
I'm really happy you successfully got it with Mozilla. Where did you get the
headers information? In Icecast2 logs? As soon as I know where to find the
header information sent by IE, I will change the php script to cross the
valid headers information sent by Mozilla with the necessary information
needed by IE. The aim is to give Icecast the impression that the client is
Mozilla.
