CentOS vs. Nokia Phones
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have been trying to access my Nokia 6230 using a DKU-2 data cable from CentOS, with some weird results. Interesting thing is that I have VMWare installed on this machine and, if I install the Nokia Suite inside it, it can access the phone without problems. So all hardware related parts are working. Anyway, kernel load the cdc_acm module, and gives

Execute command after hangup / MWI
Hi guys, is there any way to execute a command *after* a caller has hung up the call? Something like exten => s,1,Voicemail exten => s,2,AGI(mwi.agi) I'd like to turn off the MWI on my cellphone (which is done by gammu[1]) Or does anyone know a way to check the state of the MWI from outside, i.e. with a cron-job? I'm turning on the MWI with the email-notify from voicemail, but

voip-info.org unreliable lately?
Anyone have any insight as to why voip-info.org has been up and down all day, and more importantly unreliable for the last month? I assume the bandwidth is being donated or something, but surely someone would be willing to donate reliable bandwidth as the knowledge hosted on the site (which is also donated!) is worth way more than the bandwidth. There is no doubt it is the best

samba 3 b3 and nt accounts
Okidokey things are flying here However I am a domain admin and as such when I logon to a win 2k/xp system I should be able to access the system stuff (like changing the domain) as well as certify a new machine to the domain. With the Samba user however I log onto the machine now and no longer have my admin rights to change settings :c( (I hate this quirk of xp/2k it's almost enough reason

OT: MWI on Treo 600/650
My cell vm goes to asterisk, not the carrier. Apparently MWI is turned on/off with specially formatted SMS messages. Anyone know how to do this on a Treo 600? Having the phone light from Asterisk would be HUGE ... not to mention extremely cool. dbc.

ICMP 'Destination unreachable (Port unreachable)'
Hi I am still having trouble getting Windows 10 and Windows 7 laptops to communicate with a Samba server (4.1.17-Debian) running on Rasbian Jesse. Running Wireshark on one of the laptops I notice these sequential packet transfers: Laptop –> Pi BJNP Scanner command: discover Pi –> Laptop ICMP 'Destination unreachable (Port unreachable)' This happens even on a laptop

flac metadata
So I've just ripped my entire 600 CD collection to flac format (200gigs worth) with vorbis comments in the flac metadata. But my gripe is that neither Winamp nor XMMS's flac plug-ins seem to have the ability to read the vorbis comment from the metadata. Are there any flac players for windoze or linux that can access the metadata? Or do i have to add redundant ID3 tags to all my flac

What NAS device(s) do you use? And why?
If you use any NAS (or a SAN) devices, what do you use? And I'm referring more to larger scale network storage than your home PC or home theater system. We've had very good experiences with our NetGear ReadyNAS devices but I'm in the market for something new. The NetGear's aren't the cheapest ones around but they do what it says on the box. My only real gripe with them is the

Problems with Dovecot and self-signed cert
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've recently set up a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 WS server, and decided to try using Dovecot as my IMAP server, as I was impressed with the dedication to security that seems to be the core development goal. I'm really happy with it, but I can't get it to work with a self-signed cert. Normally, on a RHEL system, you just go into

[LLVMdev] Thread local storage and PowerPC
Hi all friends of PowerPC! My last gripe hindering me calling out "VICTORY!" on my large PPC embedded project is thread level storage not being implemented in the backend. I have filed this bug: http://llvm.org/PR12593 I wonder whether there is some fundamental obstacle (compared to the x86 backend, where this feature seems to work), or is it just "simple matter of

Hi, I am relatively new to Samba although I've installed it and used it before my knowledge is very shallow. PXELINUX: how to debug initrd corruption?
Hi All, I have a system, that, ~80% of the time, fails to properly boot using pxelinux.0 as provided by RHEL 5.5 (syslinux 3.11, I think). The gripe, before the console messages stop, is a message that comes from the linux kernel complaining the compressed ram drive image is bad: "invalid compressed format (err=[small number])". I have two questions: 1. How should I go about

Andrew and Dennis are spot on. Their conclusions about your server being connected to an access port and not a trunk port would be my conclusion as well.
