I'm trying to get Wine to print through it's PS driver, without success, on a HP DeskJet 694C, configured on Linux with the cdj670 driver. What I get to see on screen after I attempt to print are three windows with exclamation marks on a yellow triangle and garbled text. The first window is titled "Printer name", the second "Device name", the third "Output".

I've googled and STF'd, but alas cannot find any instructions regarding changing the short date format to dd/mm/yy Can edit the registry, and change the win.ini file, but my windoze app still displays mm/dd/yy. Grateful for any pointers to the instructions for how to fix. TIA's

If I select my date column from the pgadmin I see that in the ddmmyyyy form, I''ve specified so in the postgresql config. When I query from rails I get the date in yyyymmdd someone knows why? I'm new to Ubuntu and Wine. I've installed Wine (x.x.29) on Ubuntu 9.04, then installed Quicken Deluxe 2009. It seems to work fine but when I attempt to register Quicken I get a page of garbage. Of course Intuit Support is worthless. Somebody out there must work around this problem.

I just installed Quicken 2001 using the 0914 version of Wine built from source code on my Fedora Core 2 machine. I followed the Quicken install instruction #2 on Franks Corner site. I have been running Quicken 2009 for over a year successfully and the appDB shows Quicken 2011 works well. Because of Quicken's support policy, I am forced to upgrade to Quicken 2012.
