When i execute the main file, I get an error that say that it's not possible to find some configurations file... after many efforts, I think that the problem is in the fact that to instal the game, i take a pre-installed (portable) version of this, and so i just copy and past the whole folder into the program

Problems with newest Wine versions (.16, .17)
Hello, To get straight into the subject at hand, it seems that the two latest wine versions (.16, .17) have broken some of my applications (Planescape and Carmageddon, in particular). These applications used to work perfectly in .15, so I'm led to think that the problems are due to the extensive changes done in the Direct3D area. The output seems to confirm these thoughts. Now, I'm not

Is there anything to do with Wine to allow programs runs under it to work as "native" Linux software ? Have I miss something somewhere ? (I think of wine compilation and especially

Rotate/edge-flip and jumping mouse pointer
Hi, I'm using running Xgl/compiz on Gentoo/AMD64/2006.0, with xgl-0.0.1_p20060418 and compiz-quinnstorm-0.0.9.3 on Gnome 2.14. I love the edge-flip feature of rotate, but I sometimes have a problem where, after edge-flipping the mouse pointer seems to jump to the opposite window edge which starts rotating the cube to the next desktop, so I start moving the pointer back, whereupon it jumps

PSTN gateway implementation?
Hello, I need help in creating a simple PSTN Gateway. This is the scenario: -I have one client sending me VoIP traffic (they don't have asterisk, so IAX is out of the picture for me) and I need to validate that traffic (only accept calls coming from his IP). After that I would terminate the calls to the PSTN network and keep logs for billing purposes. -I have a TE405P board and

Question on target-features
Hi, In "target-features" list in LLVM-IR, there are "+feature", "-feature". My question is, does "-feature" is equivalent to not specifying a feature at all? For example: *attributes #0 = { "target-cpu"="znver2" "target-features"="+avx -avx2" }* Wheather it is equalent to omitting the avx2 from list? *attributes #0

Opus vs. Vorbis
Hi all, I've been looking at opus lately as a replacement to vorbis and it sure seems to me that, at least on paper, it is the 'next generation' streaming codec. Has anyone been using opus as a streaming codec to Icecast? If so, how do the following general characteristics compare to vorbis? + Quality + Latency + Bandwidth + Performance (on stream client and Icecast server) +
