I've narrowed the my Cups printing problem down to Wine not loading my Type 1 fonts. I have several Type 1 fonts installed in 3 places, all of which are in my fontpath ("xset q" lists them). I can use the Type 1 fonts in X and with KDE-2.2.1 even as AntiAliased, however, when I try to print from an app under wine I get a memory error and a message at the command line stating

Everytime I start a program with wine-20010629 on Red Hat Linux, font metrics get updated. I am getting fonts through the Xserver (no xfont server) (currently M$, ghostscript, Type1, misc and 75dpi fonts) Is this behaviour normal? I did find a say to get to the directory holding wpwin9 and it strarted but then froze with the splash screen. Not sure how to get the error message in here; seems to have to do with the keyboard and X11driver; hope I am abusing this bulletin board, but I am hoping someone can help me with the next step. I'm having problems trying to get Lotus notes (v5) to run smoothly with wine. It appears that there are some sort of font problems that cause Lotus Notes to hang for quite some time before moving to the requested area. During this time, xfs is taking 80% or more of the cpu.
