It's taken a while, but with good old trial and error (and lots of good advice from this list) I've managed to get Wine printing... most of the time. With the current config I'm using, CUPS, KDE, Debian, all but a couple of the Windows apps I've installed print to the local printer perfectly. However, there are a couple other apps that can't seem to find a printer at all.

Hello, I am writing a program for windows that makes use of the webcam, and was hoping to easily port this program to Linux using winelib. Does wine support devices such as webcams? I have no previous experience of programming in Linux, so maybe this is throwing myself off the deep-end, but my friend says that just linking to winelib and hitting the ?make? button should ALMOST work in most cases

I am trying to get smb4k (KDE) client working. It displays the computers on the network but not the shares (localhost has the only share that shows up :-(). The command line may give a clue. I have a Gigabyte GeForce 1050 connected by DVI to a monitor (1920x1200 resolution @ 59.9502 Hz) and a TV via HDMI (3840x2160 @30 Hz). The problem is the TV used to work at 59.9685 Hz but then it started showing "No signal" on the TV.
