Is the machine your configuring permissions on joined to the domain that samba is using? That's the last of my advice/querying ability, since DNS is on a proper server (and I assume pointed to the right address on the client as well) On Apr 21, 2016 11:00 PM, "Stefan Fuhrmann" <stefan at fuhrmann.homedns.org> wrote: > Hallo Luke, > > > okay, I attached the

Now it seems the Domain SID has changed, so I changed the new SID back to the old one with net setlocalsid, because on all machines I had

hello we got a serious problem with samba 223 and winbind i didn't find alot about on the net so I thought it could be interesting to tell you we have a file server w/ mandrake 8.0, a custom kernel 2.4.18 with quotas, acls, and a custom samba 2.2.3 with quotas, acl, and winbind. samba forwards auth to an NT PDC. FS rights are given on domain user names. there are quite a lot users, ca 2000.
