SNMP error and more
Hi,
I just installed NUT to monitor 4 UPS, all APC, all with Network card
APC 9617.
NUT have problem to access the following SNMP OID on all the UPSes:

Having trouble with the Liebert GXT2
I am working with three Liebert GXT2 UPSes connected via local TCP/IP
under Linux 2.6.25.1 and getting a series of messages.
First, at start, the drivers complains that the Liebert apparently
extract information from certain MIBs in the ietf MIB file....

Any word on when the ietf mib will be fixed for liebert?
This mib used to work, so is there a way to go back to the version
prior to this one without downgrading the whole package?

Fwd: [EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
I meant to send this to the list but evidently only sent it to David.
Since sending it I've done a second test which shows what a successful
snmpset looks like.
First attachment, from the forwarded email, is nutout.txt. Second
attachment is snmpout.txt.

Fwd: [EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
Is anyone using snmp-ups with the -k option successfully?
This is really starting to look like a bug somewhere in nut, not a
config problem. I've just tried the same command from a FBSD box with
the same unfortunate result. Mind you, it could be the UPS card, I'm
using the same one for both tests.

Powerware 9155 with SNMP card
Hi,
I got a shiny pair of new PowerWare 9155 UPS (3 input phaes, one output
phase), running parallel. Since I didn't want to install a Windows box
to run Powerwares software I now went nut(s) ;-)
So far things look pretty good, snmp-ups talks to both ups using the pw
mib. Though I get these messages, when I start the driver:
[ups2] nut_snmp_get: 1.3.6.1.4.1.534.1.4.4.1.3: Error in packet:

RE: problem with Dates
It seems that you have load the "survival" package
date.mdy is a function from this one.
In this function the "origin" of the time is the first day of 1970
in the base package the origin is the first day of 1960
it's very curious...

coxph() and intervening events
Hello!
I am using the coxph() function for counting process data. I want to
include an intervening event as one of my covariates. In order to do this
I have split the relevant observations in my data at the time of
intervention. But I have not found any way to "inform" coxph() of the id
of these observations. The result of this is that coxph() interprets the
split data as

Nut 2.1 vs the resilient Powerware 9170+
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I figured out why nut seemed to segfault at startup from my Solaris
boxes (and snmp-ups too) - I believe that nut is trying to use some MIBs
that do not exist on my particular PW9170, for whatever reason. It dies
on my Linux box too, complaining like this:
pkdick:~/nut/bin# ./snmp-ups -x mibs=pw -x community=publicstring upsname

Problem building Perl net-snmp
Hi
I'm trying to build the perl modules of net-snmp-5.4.2. Everything seems
to work fine until "make test"[1]. The problem with "DynaLoader.pm"
seems to be an old one.
The machine is Centos 5.2 i386
I'm trying to build instead of using the one available in the repos
because I'll build in other platforms and also in nagios-plugins.
Thanks
Marcelo

snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card
Hello list,
I've installed NUT on an HP blade server, and I try to get it
communicating via SNMP with 2 HP R3000 UPSes, each fitted with a AF465A
management card. To do this, I used the snmp-ups driver, and configured
it for the "cpqpower" MIB. Communication with the UPSes is established.
My problem is that both UPSes constantly return the "OL OB" status
which, in

Plotting the mean of data
Hi all!
I've got a datstructure like this:
subject week value
1 1 4
2 1 8
3 1 3
4 1 5
1 2 5
2 2 6
3 2 2
4 2 6
1 3 3
2 3 7
3 3 3
4 3 7
I'd like to plot the mean of 'value' against week. Is there a direct way
of doing this or do I have to make a new structure with the calculated
values and then plot it?
All the best!

Space between axis label and tick labels
I'm writing an publication in two column format and need to shrink some
plots. After increasing the axis labels it does not look nice at all.
The y-axis label and tick labels almost touch each other and the x-axis
tick labels expand into the plot instead of away from it. Is there a
better way than "cex" to control the:
1) font size of axis and tick labels
2) font thickness
3)
