Anyone here user lightwave/screamernet
Hi there guys
this is my first post here, I thought I would inform everyone that I am
currently building a screamernet controller in gtk+
I first got the idea after being interested in lightnet on win32, but
since it was written in delphi, a language I care little about I went
ahead with writing my own controller. Soon after win2k would crash
almost every hour and unknown to me, breaking my

wine + lwsn
I've got a problem with wine and lwns (NewTek render engine). When I'm using 1 core machine everything is fine. It's working even a little bit faster. But on 2 core machine it has some problem. With small scenes everything is ok. When I start a scene that use nearly all (2GB) of memory it slows down 7 times! I'm sure that it's not a problem of memory (still there is some free).

Could WineHQ be used to run Windows software as rendernodes?
Could WineHQ be used to run Windows software as rendernodes?
Hi, I'm doing 3D computer graphics and I was asking myself if it's possible to do network windows rendering with software like Luxology Modo, Autodesk 3ds Max, Newtek Lightwave, etc... To do this rendering Windows software has to be able to connect via LAN.

wine & Lightwave
Has anyone managed to get Lightwave Modeller running under wine?
Whe I try it crashes just after the main screen has been drawn or at the
very best after I try to create an object.

Wine+Lightwave
I've managed (Hoorah!) to get Lightwave 6.5b working with Wine, (LW 7's a
non-starter 'cus of InstallSheild.
However, it doesn't seem to respond to any keyboard input (although the F
keys do work!!) I'd noticed the same problem with LW 5.5 too. Has
anyone else come up against this and managed a work-around/fix?

WINE & LWSN
Hi All,
I've heard lots of people are successfully runing LWSN using WINE. I've
tried and it tries to run, but then I get endless repeats of the line:
fixme:heap:RtlCompactHeap stub
What does this mean? Other programs run fine, like notepad. Lightwav.exe
even runs, somewhat...

How to remap c_drive
I'm working on a class project to setup a PXE boot for one of our labs and part of the project requires me install WINE. Sound pretty straight forward but WINE creates the C-Drive in the users directory and I need a way to tell it to use a global directory to avoid the 3 Windows applications they want to be installed each time someone logs in. We hare going to also script it so each time

TrueType fonts, 3d modellers and wine
Hello,
Many 3d modellers can use TrueType fonts to create 3D objects of words.
Lightwave and Behemont are two that spring to mind. I can't find any on
linux.
However, both lightwave and behemont give me the error:
fixme:commdlg:CFn_WMInitDialog No font found with truetype only,
dropping flag
This is after the font has been correctly displayed in a "font
selection" box. The

up the network printer.
I am able to go only to this stage: Place--> Network--> Windows Network
Do you have any suggestion? Here is what I get when I do troubleshoot.
I get the message in the tile when I do:

Help on choosing the appropriate analysis method
Dear R-help,
I'd like ask for your opinion on choosing the "right" strategy for a
particular dataset.
We conducted 24-hour electric field measurements on 90 subjects. They
are grouped by job (2 categories) and location (3 categories). There are
four exposure metrics assigned to each subject.
An excerpt from the data:

FLAC CD Archive
I realize this was an answer to someone else, but...
I use Trader's Little Helper for all my encoding/decoding projects (for FLAC
mostly). does this automatically do more than just the tracks? If not, how
can I get the rest?
- - Audio data prior to the start of track 1 (and possibly after the end
of the 'last' track, depending on the disc layout)
- - Sub-code index information

flac and metadata
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

The recent thread on archiving CDs with flac has prompted me to ask a
few questions about flac and metadata:
1.1) It appears that metaflac only imports limited information from a
cuefile. Text data (ie: Title, Artist) and any comments are removed
from the file. I can kind of see eating the comments, but why are the
perfectly valid text fields not

attempted wine install on Fedora 6
I have installed release 0.9.25 of wine RPM packages from FEdora 6 extras web
page. I have also tried the 0.9.27 wine built from source. In both cases wine
generates an extensive stack dump when I attempt to run any windows
application.
My computer is rather old and I may have done something wrong with the
install.
The following error message was displayed.
