hi, I read the howto and the official documentation, and have tried setting up w(h)ine according to the configuration directions, but for some reason, I'm getting errors on all drives - "cannot stat the drive". what does that mean, and how do I fix it? The windose application I am trying to run bombs with the following error box. unknown has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created. OK I can't find the alleged "error log." Any ideas where it may be? Thanks, SJr

Hello, what does the wine error message "unknown DOS version" mean? Will I have to change my wine configuration in some way? Or is the program not runnable with wine at all? Any hints are appreciated. Thanks in advance. Martin

High, i tried to install the free Visual Pinball package from: http://www.randydavis.com/vp/intro.htm When i tried to run the installer it aborted with an error message to check the installer package. Whe i try to run the VPinball.exe directly without using the installer it comes up well. But now when i try to load a table i get the error that modul RichEdit32A Module is missing. peter

Hi! When I started Wine (some Jan. 2001 version), it moved some directories from my windows partition, renamed them and made them write-protected. As I ran down Linux and restarted Windows, the moved directories still were there. I had to rename them and to move them back. How can I tell Wine not to mess up my windows directory structure?
