Getting Groupwise to run setup.exe
Hello I'm having trouble trying to run setup.exe from either the 32bit or 16bit versions of Groupwise. I copied the win32 version of ncftp.exe and was able to get it to load up ok. I didn't have sol.exe to play with. Here's the details. Wine release 20011108 wine-cvs-unstripped-111601-1.i386.rpm Redhat 7.2 Trace below. trace:dosfs:DRIVE_Init Drive A: path=/mnt/floppy type=floppy

Groupwise 5.5 Client under Wine?
Hello all, Has anyone ever tried running Novell's Groupwise client under Wine (either the 16-bit or 32-bit ver)? The 32-bit version requires windows messaging - but I think I can get away with the 16-bit version...... Anyone?

Cron with Wine
I am currently using Windows self extractor from the command line and it works great to convert zip files to windows exe's. The issue I'm having is if I try and cron this through a shell scipt it complains with the following + wine '/usr/share/wine-c/Program Files/WinZip Self-Extractor/WinZIPse.EXE' /y /le /overwrite

ocfs2 cluster becomes unresponsive
We are running OCFS2 on SLES9 machines using a FC SAN. Without warning both nodes will become unresponsive. Can not access either machine via ssh or terminal (hangs after typing in username). However the machine still responds to pings. This continues until one node is rebooted, at which time the second node resumes normal operations. I am not entirely sure that this is an OCFS2 problem at all

Proxy Access (Manager/Secretary) Best Practices?
I've mostly got our dovecot+postfix+SOGo+openldap open source groupware replacement working the way I want it to; we're replacing GroupWise in our organization and I'm thrilled to be doing it. I'm supporting about 1,000 active staff users (and another 6,000 student accounts). I've got e-mail and calendar sharing working, and it does what it says it will do, but it is (go

Offsite server replication solution via Internet
Hi Some of our smaller Central London clients (5 to 25 terminals), who use the NetWare & GroupWise software from Novell Small Business Suite 6, are becoming increasingly concerned about the possibility of their offices becoming inaccessible for a prolonged period in the event of a terrorist attack. We've been asked to provide a low cost solution consisting of replicated offsite servers to

Having allways error 6 not socket (GLE 6) with -debugmsg +winsock options, I install telnet from Windows to try to connect to this server. I got same error. I install another windows client, PUTTY, same result: unable to connect. Does anyone know more about how to test network connexion

Wine NT Services / Serial Port
Hi! I'm currently working on a project to upgrade my car's display with NAV... Due to prohibitive high costs of oem solutions (and limited use except for nav), I decided to use a laptop, runnig that software... So, I already have MS Autoroute 2001 (european version). Against my expectations, this program runs fine with Wine release 20011004. However, the GPS Add-In doesn't work.

Passing additional paramaters to nlsList(nlme) fit function
Hello, nls-users, is it possible to pass additional parameters to the model function that are known and groupwise constant with nlsList? I could not find something like a "keep this fixed" option in the documentation and the code (my fault...?) The current workaround is to break the problem down into groups and use globals to pass the constant parameters, but it is ugly code and

Wine and Windows 2000
I had the latest wine running under winblows 98 SE for a week or two with no problems, then I installed winblows 2000 and now I cannot get wine to work. It is important for me to get it running again since I run United Devices cancer research agent (http://members.ud.com) 24/7 to help them find a cure for cancer. Is wine compatible with Win2k, or will I need to re-install 98 again? -- Interested

imap proxy setup - "killed with signal 11"
hi- i'm setting up an imap proxy in front of a novell groupwise server. it seems to so far be partially working, but dovecot is having trouble in certain cases. i expect that it's ultimately due to what i believe is a very poor implementation of imap provided by groupwise [at least based on other experiences in the past] - but that's a big part of why i'd like to have

newbie: wine-20011004 & word97 saving
I've just installed wine 20011004 using tarball. Wordview and word seem to run nicely, but I cant save edited files. Word claims that the file already exists or that it is RO or that there is not enough memory and/or disk space. Anyone knows a solution to this?? Thanks in advance! - Vode
