Wine never loads (GL Library...)
Hello. Okay, I did a bit of searching around for this, and haven't found
anything on it, as of yet. Before now, wine has always run perfectly (after
editing the config file first of course)... but I've got a few system
changes which may affect it. Anyways, first, here's the message I get:
[n00bie@localhost n00bie]$ cd /mnt/windows/windows
[n00bie@localhost windows]$ wine calc.exe

Configure Asterisk to preserve SIP header?
Hello.
Is it possible to configure Asterisk to preserve specific SIP INVITE headers
when setting up a call?
Specifically, I have a custom SIP client that sends an additional header in
the INVITE request when originating a call. This is to request that the call
is auto-answered by the destination phone. i.e.
Call-Info: <sip:192.168.100.50>;answer-after=0

Bug in Configurator.change_privilege?
Hello.
I have discovered that mongrel does not correctly take on all the
groups of the requested user/group combination. It seems that while
the specified user and group is correctly activated, all the other
groups that are associated with this user are not enabled and the
group permissions remain the same as the caller (i.e. root).
This problem (and solution) is discussed in the Ruby Forum:

Problems Seeing Output From Wine
Hi All,
I'm very new to this whole wine app so please stick with me. I have
installed wine 1.0 from codeweavers and am having mixed success with it,
for example: I am able to intall the motorola 56000 software
developement tools under the ~/.wine/fake_windows/Program Files/
directory and can actually use the assembler if I explicitly tell wine
the full path

First time run errors, winesetup?
I compiled the latest release of wine, without any problems, on Red Hat,
7.2
When I run wine, it says I dont have a .wine config file, in my user
directory.
I ran winelauncher, and clicked setup, and it says it cant find
'winesetup', which it needs to write
the config file for the first time run. winesetup isnt in the release
(or any I have seen), if they has been taken out, how do I

Weird quirk with ingress policing
Hi,
I notice that if two or more existing connections match an ingress
policing filter, the input bandwidth does not get evenly divided up
between the n connections.
Kinda like litters of baby animals, where the stronger babies get more
access to the mothers teats and grow up bigger and faster than their
siblings.
The only workaround that''s working for me is to set explicit ingress

Rendering farm?
I received at least one email suggesting a Windows-based rendering
farm - likely to consist of a few rack systems all running 64-bit
Windows. I read an article on Tomshardware which gave some decent
insight. What can list participants offer on this concept?
I don't care _how_ the resource is implemented - virtual machine,
cluster, etc. I just want to get the most resources for the money,

Wine on RedHat 7.2
Hi,
I'm a bit of a Linux newb, so please excuse me if I'm missing the
obvious. I installed RedHat 7.2, and downloaded the latest rpm for Wine
(linked to from WineHQ). I have read the docs, and put together what at
least should be a working config. When I try to run Wine from the command
line, I get an error:
error while loading shared libraries: libntdll.so: cannot open shared

nfs client issues since updating from 5.7 to 5.8 on the NFS server
Hi all,
Wondering if any one has seen odd NFS client behavior with a 5.8 NFS
server?
While by Nix and OSX clients are fine, my Windows clients are acting up.
I can no longer mount any NFS share from a 5.8 NFS server box on my
Winblowz clients.
I'll keep digging around but nothing has changed on the client end.
Since my NFS server OS has changed, I'm assuming a client adjustment

ADS
Hi, new to list.
Running FreeBSD 5.2.1 with latest samba port. I've gotten rather far,
but have hit a bit of a snag. After getting kerberos and DNS sorted
out, I did
net ads join -U (An Admin name) got a pass prompt, the pass was
accepted. Cool. Had created no samba accounts, so from my laptop
(FreeBSD 5.1) I typre
mount_smbfs //user@unix/directory /directory got a pass request and it

Sound with Wine
Hello NG,
I am using Wine 20011108 (Debian Woody) and the most important programs are
running fine with it. I configured Wine with the winesetup-tool.
In general sound is running (e.g. with Winamp). And of course, sound runs
with Linux (KDE). But some programs seems to have some probems. I am
running a birthday reminder, which gives an notification sound in case of a
birthday. But this does

ANN: pyshaper - for easy traffic-shaping
Hi,
I''ve released an alpha of ''pyshaper'' - a python prog which simplifies
traffic-shaping.
Requires python2.2 or later, a 2.4 or later Linux kernel with QoS
options compiled in, the iproute2 suite and optionally GeoIP as well.
pyshaper periodically netstats the current TCP connections, matches them
against your rules, and dynamically calculates/generates/executes

You might like to write a JNI Wrapper.

Hello!
I'm just getting fimiliar with wine, so I'm a newbie and need some help ;o)
wine went up correctly, no errors, no claims, etc. It starts some windows /
dos software with no problem, but sometimes it asks for certain dll files,
for example: OpenGL32.dll, kernel32.dll, etc., so I've got stuck for a while.
...decided to check the docs for info, and finally found winelauncher

XEN 3.4.1|HVM|physical disk access
Hello folks,
i do not get access to a physical disk with xen. I would like to install
windows xp as hvm to the physical partition /dev/sdb1.
I partioned the disk with cfdisk. Filesystem type is Linux (83). In my
eyes the filesystem using hvm is insignificant(?).
I tried the following configurations; probably a lot more than this.
#disk = [ ''phy:hda1,hda1,r'' ] (comment from
