Newbie: Getting CVS to work
I downloaded and unpacked the current WINE CVS .tar.bz2 from "Andis Wine Files". Then I go into that directory and do the following: zwei:/home/wine # export CVSROOT=:pserver:cvs@rhlx01.fht-esslingen.de:/home/wine zwei:/home/wine # cvs login (Logging in to cvs@rhlx01.fht-esslingen.de) CVS password: cvs zwei:/home/wine # cvs diff -u dlls/kernel/comm.c cvs [server aborted]: no such

OT: cvs passwd scripting
Howdy and sorry 'bout the OT: I'd like to write a script that once a week updated my wine CVS sources for me. There's just one catch: I don't know how to give a response to the passwd for the cvs tree from a script. I checked out the advanced bash scripting at tldp.org, but I couln't get Standard I/O rerouting to do what I wanted. Could someone give me a pointer, or point me

Wine and the serial port
I have an application that talks to hardware via the serial port. (Actually, it talks to a lot of hardware, banking peripherals). The app runs on both Win32 and OS/2. Of course, the main theme is porting the thing natively to linux (and I'm working on that). But just for fun I tried to get it to work with WINE, and while the "device emulation" works perfectly (much to my

[PATCH] btrfs-progs: make btrfs dev scan multi path aware
We should avoid using non multi-path (mp) path for mp disks As of now there is no good way (like api) to check that. A workaround way is to check if the O_EXCL open is unsuccessful. This is safe since otherwise the BTRFS_IOC_SCAN_DEV ioctl would fail if the disk-path can not be opened with the flag O_EXCL set. This patch also includes some (error) print format changes related to the btrfs

TrueType fonts, 3d modellers and wine
Hello, Many 3d modellers can use TrueType fonts to create 3D objects of words. Lightwave and Behemont are two that spring to mind. I can't find any on linux. However, both lightwave and behemont give me the error: fixme:commdlg:CFn_WMInitDialog No font found with truetype only, dropping flag This is after the font has been correctly displayed in a "font selection" box. Vacation message and DMARC validation
Greetings, I have found an issue in the interaction between sieve vacation messages and the SPF, DKIM and DMARC email validation systems. For example, let's say we have a message coming from a at a.com to b at b.com at a server imap.mydomain.com. The account b at b.com has a vacation rule in sieve, and that generates an autoresponse to a at a.com. Our problem begins with the definition

sftp reget/reput
Hello openssh@ I thought about sftp's reget/reput commands. Several days ago, Damien Miller write to tech at openbsd.org (it was reply for my letter): > Herein lies a problem which is not easy to detect or solve. [PATCH 4/5][REPOST][BTRFS-PROGS] Avoid to scan cdrom and floppy
Hi all, the commands "btrfs filesystem show" and "btrfs device scan" look at the /dev directory (and it subdirectories) for every block devices. This is a slow process because floppy and cdrom are also checked. Moreover, as highlighted by Helmut, if udev is not used, the /dev directory is populated by high number of non-existant devices, which slow the process. My patch

WG: Re: Wine and the serial port [LONG]
Hi, I applied your patch and recompiled, but I'm still having trouble. In what follows I've tried to describe some details. The first problem was this: The Comm-Port gets opened with overlapped I/O. However, for WaitCommEvent() we do not specify an overlapped structure. This works fine on NT4 / W2K, but is contrary to the documentation, which specifys that you need to supply an

speed and connection problems after samba upgrade - RH 5 -> RH 5.1, samba 3.0.23c -> 3.0.25b
Hi, recently we upgraded a central RHEL 5 fileserver to the latest RH EL 5.1 rpms, including samba. (samba-3.0.23c-2.el5.2 update to samba-3.0.25b-1.el5_1.4) Now some users have the problem, that opening a word or excel file saved on a samba share takes up to 30 seconds. Today I could verify this on the users desktop XP PC. This problem occures only from time to time, so it may be also a
