Hi! i'm new to wine and i have a problem instaling aplications... When i start the installer (example:Flash 8) it starts normal and everything is fine until it starts installing. Insted of copying files is like it skips the instalation and you can click finish.. I looked at the directory where it shuld be, but there wasn't any files. I have Windows XP installed with over 50 aplications, and in ubuntu when I go to Wine/Programs, I have only notepad and I when I try to add more applications to list and my Program Files Folder opens I only have Common Files and Internet Explorer folders ? Ok, I've tried wine with about 10 different aplications and it always returns SOME kind of error... and it closes... the only one I can run without ANY problem is DiabloII.... not even half life runs on wine... Hi people . Im new to Wine Forums and to Linux World,and i had a problem . I installed Wine 1.1.8 from source and them i make a uninstall . I upgrade to 1.1.9 but my configuration wine file still remains (the 1.18 version ) . I want to uninstall everything (including the configuration files) except the aplications. how do i do that ? and i dont want to "rm" the .wine directory.

i have a dvr system in the office and it is an 'internet explorer only' program. i have installed i.e7 in wine and am trying to run the program. it goes to the login page and then gives an error 'activeX controls not registered'. i cant figure what this means and how to overcome that. anybody has any suggestions? :(
