basic install questions
Hello, I was reading the docs and have a few questions: 1. I compile wine from the daily debian repository at gluck.debian.org. Do I still need to first remove the old wine before dpkg'ing a newly compiled wine source? 2. I plan on installing wine WITH Windows. Can I still use winesetuptk? I can ignore installation on wine-lib, right? 3. Copyright issues aside, would the most

first stabs at wine - need a bit of help
Hello all, I'm using a Windows machine, navalle, to copy files to my Linux box, lucifer, which will hopefully run Wine. I'm keeping a careful log of exactly how I install wine. This is what i've done so far: 1. Let ~ = lucifer:/home/p/.wine/fake_windows 2. apt-get install wine-doc winesetuptk wine-utils wine wine-lib: ii libwine 0.20011026.033 Windows Emulator (Library)

FrontPage locking
Hi, Eric. You asked: > Does the full version of Front Page request locks? If so, maybe I need > to purchase it or another html editor that does. It doesn't use SMB file transactions at all. Instead it uses GET/PUT http commands to communicate with a remote server. Users are authenticated with a username/password combo and are connected to a "web," MS's word for a

testing coeficients of glm
Dear list, i'm trying to test if a linear combination of coefficients of glm is equal to 0. For example : class 'cl' has 3 levels (1,2,3) and 'y' is a response variable. We want to test H0: mu1 + mu2 - mu3 =0 where mu1,mu2, and mu3 are the means for each level. for me, the question is how to get the covariance matrix of the estimated parameters from glm. but perhaps there

ogg dirac granulepos in oggz tools
Hi, I'm wondering if the Dirac granulepos parsing in liboggz and display in the oggz tools is currently correct, as I'd like to do a release of these soon. A couple of days ago David Schleef mentioned there were some problems. David, is that currently true (ie. since David Flynn's recent updates to support Dirac), and if so could you please explain what the problems are, or point me

How Ogg mappings translate into the codecs parameter in Ogg media types
Hi all, I am trying to set up the codecs table in the wiki and we have played a bit with Dirac to find out what existing tools write into the header. The Schroedinger implementation by Fluendo uses (or used to use) "KW-DIRAC" as the identifier in the Ogg header. "BBCD" is the identifier of each of the Dirac data packages. More recently, I read that the Dirac Sequence header

Mingw64 GtkLauncher.exe Crashes
I have successfully installed the cross compiled dll's and other files supplied by centos 7 on a machine running Windows 7. When I run GtkLauncher.exe it comes up with the google page displayed. However, when I try to view "http://www.msnbc.com" Gtklauncher crashes in libjavascriptcore.dll at offset 0xa4944. nfl.com comes up, but then crashes in the same place. My questions

[PATCH] liboggz: add dirac.c as a source, not as a lib
Hi, this patch adds dirac.c as a source file to the oggz tools, rather than a lib. The previous would try to compile at link time, and would not include the right -I flags, and this will fail when including config.h in dirac.c (which will be needed when someone else posts a patch to get liboggz to build on win32). I'm not toally sure why dirac.c isn't just in the sources in liboggz rather

Dirac question
Hi again, could someone tell me why there is links to Dirac on the Xiph wiki? The BBC takes care of Dirac, not Xiph? Is Xiph just a promoter? Secondly, how would one choose to save the video in a lossless format with Dirac, is there some interface (like a switch) in an application for this to be achieved? -- Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/
