Difficulty w/1.0 and Sonique/Winamp
I am very excited to see the Vorbis 1.0 out.
Unfortunately, neither Sonique 1.808a nor Winamp 2.5
is willing to play the resulting files. Only silence.
I tried the simple case of 'oggenc track1.wav' and it
created the expected track1.ogg, 3.5MB in size with
avg. bitrate of 110kbps at default quality 3. These
applications worked fine with a much older version of
oggenc. Maybe Beta 2

x-audiocast etc.
Hmm.. just switched back to icecast hoping that 1.3.9 would have fixed some
of the bugs I was running into, such as icecast gobbling up more and more
memory until it would tank around 200M or so (in a box with 256) if left
running a few days, and got some general questions for anyone in-the-know. ;)
1. Is there a definitive list of what players on what platforms support the

Wine installer
Hi,
when I run ./tools/wineinstall, I get this:
Warning !! wine binary (still) found, which may indicate
a (conflicting) previous installation.
You might want to abort and uninstall Wine first.
rpm -qa | grep wine gives nothing
find / "*wine*" gives:

builtin icons
Hi!
I''ve found the art provider samples, but this is so complicated for me.
I just want to use some builtin icons. Can someone give me a simple
example for example using a builtin icon for a toolbar icon?
BTW, the wxwindows samples are cool, but beginners (at least me) needs
minimal samples.
thx

building NUT on Mac OS X Yosemite (website/documentation)
Hi guys,
Regarding building NUT on mac os x (yosemite), I tried Charles tweaks (ASCIIDOC_VERBOSE=-v + I?ve tried without internet connection) without success.
Quick explanation for Charles regarding NUT WEBSITE: I would like to build it on my Mac because I?m experiencing some memory/performance issues with my VMs due to my quite old computer.

While it works OK for most of the applications that I use (I still have
some crashes, I will investigate them), I have lots of graphical
glitches, some of which greatly reduce the usability of the applications :

Wine icons for Windows applications
Hi,
The latest version of Wine on a Ubuntu/Gnome system automatically creates the correct icons when shortcuts are placed in the desktop or "virtual start menu". However, it seems that the largest icon created is 48x48. Can this size be increased as these icons look fuzzy when using applications like Docky with zoom enabled? (or does this need to be changed somewhere else rather than

Wine does not allow program to see USB ID
I have a program called Messiah Studio. It licenses to your USB drive. Some people over on their forum have gotten it working under Wine but they go thru so many steps to do it that by the time they are done they are not sure which steps did the trick. So far all we have diduced is that you need Wine 1.3 and you need the drive mounted as low a level as possible.
Here is what I have so far.
