Quake II - a modal problem?
I am running FC2 on a Dell 600SC, latest wine version. FYI:Quake II
will run on machines with only 4 MB video cards and no OpenGL. It runs
fine under Windoze. Under Wine it runs the "launching demo" well but
then I have no keyboard or mouse control. I must force the power off to
regain control. On Windoze one would hit the escape key at this point
and a menu screen appears with

Regarding Issue Running Parallel Computing on Linux RHEL version 8
Hi Team,
I am writing to bring to your attention an issue we have encountered following the recent update of our Linux server from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8. We have an R script designed to create demand forecasts utilizing parallel computing on the Linux server.
Before the version update, the script executed successfully within approximately two hours. However, since updating to RHEL 8, the script has

1. Agreed - use replication.
2. If you want an HA (High Availability, not dependent on a single Master DB
server replicating to a slave) solution, consider setting up Master-Master
replication, with an LVS (Linux Virtual Server) HA machine in front of the
two, so that writes can go to either server using only

Change wine language (installing quake 2)
Hello, I'm trying to install quake 2, which doesn't work.
I'm getting a 'warning' page up saying: This version of Quake II will not install on this language version of Windows 95/NT.
..and that I should find a localized version and such...
Apparently WINE on my Ubuntu machine speaks US-English and on the cd it's written that 'this product is intended for sale outside

I still have two questions:
1) How do I make the nut-server and nut-monitor find the right pid

are nut/nut.
2) What do these error messages mean?

Problem is like this - whatever I try to play OpenGL based game that uses
Quake 3 engine I got weird mouse "jumps". Let's take Soldier of Fortune 2

right - mouse jumps slightly (the

win32:DEVICE_Open Unknown VxD A:. Try --winver nt40 or win31 !
Hi,
I was hoping to use wine to run one of those stupid windows binaries that
generate a floppy (at least IBM has a clue, and also offers the raw floppy
image for dd-ing)
In this case, the culprit is seagate's seatools:
http://www.seagate.com/support/seatools/
I installed wine under debian unstable (Version: 0.0.20010824-1) and when I
run the windows binary under wine, it runs but

They are there but it seems they can't be opened. Permissions are nut/nut.
Actually, if the preceding lifetime of the service was a graceful stop, the
exiting daemon should have removed its PID files. Then the newly starting
one would check and not find them - as I wrote before - to make sure there

Ahead Nero 5.0
Hello!
I started to use wine (Wine release 20010326) just a few weeks ago. It
seems to work fine. I have a Windows 98 (first edition) installation on an
extra partition which should be used by wine. I run SuSE 7.2 with kernel
2.4.4 on an AMD K6-II 350 MHz with 192 MB RAM.
I do not know anything about debuggers or programming in C, C+ or something.
I tried to run the CDR-burning software Nero
