Animated Cursor Support
Is there an easier way of getting animated cursors rather than having to re-compile the whole thing? I'm referring to Command & Conquer 3. I got it to work, but just no animated cursors. The patching referred to in this article: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7440 gives me errors. So back to the original question.

Hint to overcome the problem with animated cursors??
Hi I'm looking for a instruction (for dummies) about how to overcome the problem of invisible mouse pointers (animated cursors) that seem to be common amongs strategy games. (example: perimeter) I'm a newbie with linux and i've been spoiled by the point&click and plug&play usage of computers since Amiga 500 around 1987. :) kind regards - kimmok

Working around visible cursor problems
Currently, there are some problems in WINE with determining when the cursor should be visible. For example, when playing NoX, the X11 cursor sits smack dab in the middle of the screen -- the game's cursor moves around, but you have this annoying thing jerking around in the middle of the screen. At some point, perhaps someone will fix this, but for now, it can just be worked around. I decided

Re: Xorg cursor instead of wine's (or even changing wine's defau
I have been working on some cursor patches, and I think the last of my series implements cursor themes (ie. it uses the X arrow in place of the B/W one that Wine normally uses.) It searches for various custom wine_* cursors first, then checks for the standard system arrow, and lastly falls back to B/W cursors. If you can get the WoW arrow cursor, you could even theme Wine's arrow cursor to

Icewind Dale 2 Mouse Cursor
Hi, First I want to say I am really impressed with Wine. Its about as good as Cedega and sometimes better in my experience. Anyways my problem concerns Icewind Dale 2, after starting the game up my mouse cursor is not the gloved hand in game version but a mix of that and the KDE desktop cursor. It looks like a black square with both cursors overlapping. Naturally this makes it difficult to play

Wine + X11rdp project = missing text cursor
Wine + X11rdp project = missing text cursor. I know is probably not a problem with Wine, but I'm looking for any information that can help. It looks like, when connecting through the xrdp project to X11rdp back-end, the X11rdp server is not updating the area of the screen that has the blinking cursor for text input. Gnome applications have proper blinking text cursors. How does wine differ in

Re: Change/Hide Mouse cursor in Wine app
Is there a way to change the default mouse pointer theme in a wine app ? No, Wine always uses it's own pointer icon(s). The code that deals with user set cursors is not implemented (SPI_SETCURSORS). aleroot wrote: Is there a way to hide the mouse cursor in a wine app ? Not by the user. Applications have to do it.

Diablo 2 - Two mouse cursors
Hello, I'm running Diablo 2 under Wine. It runs beautifully, except I get two mouse cursors: the game cursor, and the X cursor. This can get kind of disconcerting sometimes, because they're not always colocated. Any hints? I have DxGrab = Y. -- Soli Deo Gloria -Rob French

2 mouse cursors visible using a steam app
All, I am finally stumped enough by something to post in the forum! Basically whilst running a game through steam (either from steam itself or running the exe directly) I get 2 cursors. Now one of them is the one I would expect and works properly, however the second one is kinda anchored to the middle of the screen and looks like the gnome cursor. If you move your mouse, the middle cursor tries

Mouse cursor not visible in World of Warcraft 3.0.9
I'm running Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" and Wine 1.1.18, and I'm trying to get World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King working. I was able to install everything and get it running, but after the intro movie, the mouse cursor is completely invisible. It's still there, as I can mouse over buttons and click them, but I have no idea where the cursor actually is. Every so often,
