Encarta install from Samba server barfs
Greetings: I tried to install M$ Encarta over my internal network onto my kids' Windoze 2K machine tonight; the Encarta install stuff is in a vfat partition on the Samba server. The install started, then quit about 14% of the way through - the connection to the Samba server apparently was lost - the installer began complaining about being unable to find the CD-ROM, and I was unable to browse

G.729 pre-compiled binaries and Asterisk 1.2.x.
Asterisk 1.2.24 seems to crash repeatedly under any substantial call load (and sometimes without a substantial call load - just one SIP leg is enough to do it) when using the G.729 pre-compiled binaries from: http://asterisk.hosting.lv/ As per: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+G.729+Licensing Time to crash is variable, but seems to require at least an hour of production performance

Help needed: strange issue with share mapping at logon
Hello all, I've run into an issue while migrating a client's Samba PDC from Debian 3.x to OpenSuSE 10.3, have been beating my head against it for over a week, and am now turning to the mailing list for help. We're running Samba 3.0.26a-3-1478-SUSE-SL10.3 authenticating against OpenLDAP 2.3.37. Integration of Samba and OpenLDAP works, and importing the 2000+ existing user accounts

Xenial rpart package on CRAN built with wrong R version?
I manually downloaded the rpart package and installed it using dpkg, without removing the old rpart package first, and now everything works. During the installation, dpkg said: Unpacking r-cran-rpart (4.1-13-1cran1xenial0) over (4.1-13-1cran1xenial0) So again, it seemed that the new version had been installed, but it really wasn?t. I had no idea that something like this could happen. Huh.

[RFC] C++20 ABI issue on several platforms
Hello, as discussed here in more detail: https://reviews.llvm.org/D81583 the introduction of the C++20 [[no_unique_address]] attribute exposes an ABI issue on platforms that require special handling for structs/classes that are "equivalent" to a single floating-point member (or in some cases, a "homogeneous" set of floating-point members). This is because we can now for the

heatmap and continuous variable
Dear All, I want to plot a heat map with annotated columns. Both functions heatmap (stats) and heatmap.2 (gplots) can plot a horizontal side bar that can be used to visualize a categorical variable. In addition to a categorical variable, I would like to visualize a continuous variable. This could be done by small bars, a curve or simply numbers above the columns. (The Sample names are already

Hi, This is my first time mailing to this site. On server B, 2.0.7, I do not have this parameter defined on any entry. My question is :
