I've found a mail in the wine mailing list archive stating that wine already includes DirectX, but Aquanox keeps complaining about a missing d3d8.dll. Hi, I am running wine 0.9.58 and having problems running Counter Strike: Source, Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. I think this is caused by the direct x layer in wine. My system runs opengl programs fine using the ATI driver (Radeon 3850). Is there any way I can test directx functionality without having to download a game? Dxdiag.exe is not included in wine. I thougth that if <webroot> and <fileserve> is set in icecast.xml i could stream mp3 files by http-protocol like http://occ1.net:8003/modules/media/gallery/music/alternativerock/mab/emphasizedlove.mp3. But it didnt work. I have setup icecast and ices to stream *.m3u and that worked. So my setup should be correct.

Hello. This thread is to help anyone having problems with using EPSXE psx emulator in WINE. EPSXE can work in WINE, only if you install directx in WINE. WINE alone does not have directx installed with it but EPSXE requires directx to function. You would need to install directx using any game which has "Install DirectX" or something similar.
