venneuler (java?) color palette 0 - 1
Dear UseRs and DevelopeRs It would be helpful to see the color palette available in the venneuler() function. The relevant par of ?venneuler states: "colors: colors of the circles as values between 0 and 1" -which explains color specification, but from what pallette? Short of trial and error, i'd really appreciate if some one could help me locate a "0 - 1" pallette

Current Directory Strangely Affects Behaviour of Applications
I am trying to debug a game called Grand Prix Legends, running on wine with the transgaming patch. If just spent all day getting nowhere in winedbg because I couldn't get hold of what the game was doing. If I cd to the directory in which the game is installed (ie ~/win/sierra/gpl) and then run wine gpl.exe The program starts and fills the whole of my screen with a single black window. It

Problem running Windows Notepad under Wine
Gentlefolk, I need to give someone the ability to create Windows-format text documents, which I can then copy (via SMB) to a W2000 machine for further processing. I've got the file-sharing up and running, and Wine installed and running Windows Notepad OK, but I've hit a snag trying to set it up to load Notepad automatically when the file-icon is clicked :- Environment - ubuntu 6.06,

Starcraft and cvs tag
Greets, I haven't been following the wine list; I just use wine to play Starcraft. I've been playing Starcraft perfectly for some years, and every couple of months I 'cvs update' with the wine sources. I cvsuped right now, and this has broken Starcraft. One slightly annoying thing is that the wine executable no longer takes the '-display' command line option, but at

A one line modification to fix contrib/solaris/postinstall.in
It's been discussed and key generation really should be put in the sshd startup script. However, neither I nor anyone has had the time to modify the solaris scripts to do so. I still would like to see a full rewrite of solaris/ without all the hard coded crap. - Ben On Wed, 27 Jun 2001, Roman Gollent wrote: > Gentlefolk, > > You may wish to add > >

Equivalent of "net ads leave" while not connected to domain controller, clearing up client contents.
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Gentlefolk, I have a machine name collision issue on our 2008 DC and a samba domain member machine got kicked off AD, but did not do an official "net ads leave". We have worked it out that the samba 3.0.x machine will change its name, but want to cause minimal disruption to the machine currently joined. Is there a way to clean up the

Dead Gateway Detection with PPPoE
Gentlefolk, First, many thanks to EVERYONE that tries so hard to make this advanced routing stuff useful to the "...rest of us"! You all rock! I have been prowling the archives of this list for an answer to my problem, and have seen some close situations, but no joy. Yet. I''ve got a relatively simple setup I''m trying to get working: we''ve got a

RColorBrewer
Hi there everyone! So I'm a student in college, taking a very basic Statistics course. We're using R for most of our assignments. I've hit a pretty big wall here. I'm attempting to create a heat map of the entire united states which corresponds to a set of percentages I have for each state. My teacher suggested that I simply create a color palette with RColorBrewer that is in the

Solidworks: cannot find a proper pixel format
Took the cdrom from office and tried to run it on Wine (20040121). (before sneaking a linux setup in the office...) Wine was installed on a pure linux system, without any MS directory/filesystem/files. The installation went without any problems or errors. I can start the program, and then I get in the terminal the following message: "ERROR: You need to merge the 'winedefault.reg'

[tip] running games on a dedicated display
Hi all, Here's a small mechanism I have built to run games in a dedicated display. The main reasons for doing that were: - to avoid desktop stuff to pop over my games display - to run games in a display matching the game resolution - to avoid manually switching my main resolution back and forth - to avoid problems where quitting a games leaves my desktop in the wrong resolution The idea is

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: by default use low bpp framebuffer on low memory cards
Framebuffer's BPP is not that important but can waste significant part of memory on low-VRAM cards. Lower it to 8bpp on < 32MB cards and to 16bpp on 64MB cards. It can still be overridden by video= option.
