No implementation for shlwapi.dll
Tried every permutation of shell, shell32 & shlwapi. It is clear that shell & shell32 must come from a common source, but nevertheless always got the same error message, with one exception: When I loaded all 3 builtin, it complained instead that shfolder has a problem. Wine Setup
Still have these questions: CWp3 winedbg symlink is broken. How to fix? I am hearing that in order to deinstall a Windows program, you must compile a certain proggie from the sources. It doesn't seem to come with CWWine. Best avenue? I chose Desktop mode, as I need two apps running simultaneously. Freedom, which is my privacy app and netscape-mail must run together, as mail is fetched

[q]: fixme:pthread_kill_other_threads_np
I just compiled and installed wine on my glibc2.1.3 system. Wine doesn't run anything and I get the error below. Searching the net/FAQ/HOWTO revealed only that a very recent glibc2.2 system is needed. Is this true? Thanks. Error: > wine sol.exe Building font metrics. This may take some time... fixme:pthread_kill_other_threads_np

unsubscribing because...
I think it's a sad sign when the mailing list is more about how to manage access to the wiki than actually managing contributions and the content. I don't really have any confidence that centos wants a vibrant community. The recent change list at http://wiki.centos.org/RecentChanges isn't really a good sign. Sorry, but I felt if I simply unsubscribed and disappeared quietly, I'd

I had codeweavers 20010305 installed and our application sort of running under it. I wanted

samba to samba via LDAP
Hi all, I have lots of samba servers and want them to all authenticate against a single password file which will be a LDAP database. Where I want to be: Login to a domain called "FROST" that passes the username:passwd to a domain called "ACR" which checks LDAP. Where I'm at: I can login (from a W2K machine) to a test server called LIBIT which uses LDAP

Wine-20040505 and vstserver
Hi list, I'm currently trying to get an app running called "vstserver" on Fedora Core 3. I have installed wine-20040505 and wine-devel-20040505, and installed those older versions, cause it is recommended not to use the newest wine version in the README. I have found that most vstserver-users had good experiences with version 20040505 of wine. I have tried others too, i always get

Multiple Wifi Profiles
This may not necessarily be the best place to ask this, but I''ve tried the Admin Guide, LinuxQuestions and Debian forums and no one knows. Running Debian Testing, and I need to set up two profiles for my wifi adapter, one for home and one for any open AP. I''m using the manual method of configuring, editing the /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf and /etc/network/interfaces

Hi! When I'm trying to run wine (I've tried many compilations), I got something like that: wineserver: /root/.wine/config is not a valid registry file Why I'm not using /etc/wine.conf, /usr/etc/wine.conf or /usr/local/etc/wine.conf? Because wineserver wants only $HOME/.wine/config... When I delete this file wineserver 'says' that I don't have configuration file (even
