Winemaker runs smoothly. However, the makefile generated by Winemaker in the root directory has all kinds of

winelib: afxres.h - needed?
Hey, I was playing around with winelib today and with a friend's help I was almost able to make coolplayer (listed as "working") compile on my Gentoo machine. I had to do that in a 32bit chroot, I had to change one of the includes and comment out another one. Now I'm stuck. coolplayer is written with Visual studio, so there's a file named coolplayer.rc. It includes

Ogg Vorbis use in the Visual Basic .net environment
Heya everyone, I'm planning on putting functionality into a Visual Basic program to be able to play back Ogg Vorbis encoded multimedia files and I'm having difficulty finding out how. Would anyone have any ideas on how I could do this? Perhaps if I were able to use the Ogg Vorbis libraries as a .dll file and call its functions from within the VB program - that might work. So does anyone

A visual basic 6 program using html help
I am trying to get a program that I wrote working on Ubunutu Feisty using wine. My program is written in Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and uses HTML help to deliver its help messages. So far everything work fine except the HTML help. When the user clicks on a control that is intended to bring up the help browser, nothing happens. In the visual basic program the call is something like this:

Visual Basic 6 file access to samba server Samba version 3.4.7 and Samba version 4.1.4 in Windows 8
Folks, Starting here with a file access question regarding Visual Basic 6 to Samba servers either 3.4.7 or version 4.1.4 under Ubuntu. Just want to see if anyone out there has seen something similar. There doesn't seem to be any info on this on the web. I know it's VB 6, but it's a legacy system that won't be updated. Microsoft will support VB 6 until 2024 Not needing help

Visual FoxPro 5 apps
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has gotten Visual FoxPro apps working? Here's where I am. Under both fake_windows, and the 'real windows' installations, Foxpro apps seem to not release the mouse click when an MDI window is selected, or the scrollbars are used. In a print-preview, this appears to be a lockup (really, it's in 'select mode', for highlighting text). What

[LLVMdev] Current state of the (new) CBackend & LLVM/clang with Microsoft Visual Studio
Hi. I am interested in using the CBackend of LLVM. I have read about the problems with the current version and that David Greene has started a reimplementation. Can you tell me about its current state? Furthermore, I use Microsoft Visual Studio. The "Getting started with MVC" documents for release 2.8 say "To emphasize, there is no C/C++ front end currently available" but

Winelibs question.....
Forgive my newbness. I'm pretty fresh to Linux, but trying to port some reasonably sizable windows apps that I have written. Certainly my gui apps appear to work directly with wine. I also have stuff that makes more sense to use with winelibs. I've had no significant difficulties setting up and compiling bits an pieces, basically just to get my orientation sorted. One of my apps is an

[LLVMdev] Compiling LLVM 2.7 with Visual Studio 2010.
Sorry for just talking to myself here, just trying to keep people in the loop on my findings. The problem seems to be a much larger issue with the Visual Studio 2010 C++ Compiler and not really related to clang/llvm. The following snippet of code does *NOT *compile in 2010.. #include <vector> int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { std::pair<int, void*> mypair(0, NULL); return 0; }

win98 trashed & !$!$ files
Wine (20000213-1) has apparently trashed my win98. Many files seemed to have been moved to directories named !$!$!$!$.*. Windows starts, but almost nothing works since programs have been moved to these to these directories. Any help in fixing the situation will be greatly appreciated. This is on RedHat 6.2 (2.2.14). winecheck gives This script verifies the configuration of the whole Wine
