geom_bar with missing data in package ggplot
Dear all,
I was hoping someone could help with a ggplot question. I would like
to generate a faceted bar chart, but missing data are causing
problems.
g<-structure(list(Date = structure(c(11322, 11687, 12052, 11322,
11687, 12052, 11322, 11687, 12052, 11322, 11687, 12052), class = "Date"),

the problem of buying and selling
I own a lot to the folks on r-help list, especially arun who answered every
of my question and was never wrong. I am disinclined to once again ask this
question, since it is more arithmatic than technical. But, having worked 2
days on it, I realized my brain is just not juicy enough....
Here is the problem.

svm.formula versus svm.default - different results
Dear community,
I'm performing svm-regression with svm at library e1071.
As I wrote in another post: "svm e1071 call - different results", I get different results if I use the svm.default rather than the svm.formula, being better the ones at svm.formula
I've debugged both options.
While debugging the svm.formula, I've seen that when I reach the call:

Broadvoice: No Service, No Email reply but charging the credit card still works
I cannot email them, I cannot call them, I do not get an answer, but the
credit card is still charged, although NO phone calls are possible
anymore, ...
Are they still in business? (except charging credit cards)????

Will CentOS become obsolete now because of the changes Red Hat is implementing?
This post appeared on another forum:
Will CentOS become obsolete now because of the changes Red Hat is implementing?
Red Hat has changed the way it distributes Enterprise Linux kernel
code in an effort to prevent Oracle and Novell from stealing its
customers, making it more difficult for these competitors to
understand which patches have been applied where.
Some have speculated that the change

Can I use a simple linear regression in this situation
Hi everybody,
I'm learning R and statistics and wanted to use a real case scenario for my
study... however a colleague is convinced my use of the linear regression
function is incorrect.
Could you please help clarify if what I'm doing is wrong? And in particular
why is wrong?
I was thinking to use a simple linear regression as a basic predictive
model.
I've a number of stores in

HP R1500 G3 UPS does not accept battery.charge.low value via upsrw
Hi there,
my HP R1500 G3 UPS doesn't apply my battery.charge.low value
i set via upsrw.
Is this a common problem with this model in nut 2.6.4?
Any ideas how to force the UPS to accept this value?
Regards

Rating competitors
I am looking for hints on how to estimate ratings for competitors
in an ongoing pairwise competition using R... my particular area of
interest being the game of Go, but the idea of identifying ratings
(on a continuous scale) rather than relative rankings seems easily
generalized to other competitions so I thought someone might be
studying something related already.
I presume the rating of a

PBX hacked: why hundred of calls to the same number ?
Hi,
Someone reported me that from a PBX on which someone gained fraudulent
access, he could observe hundreds of calls to the same destination
number.
For curiosity's sake, I'm wondering why would this happen (dialing the
same number over and over) ?
Some special numbers generate here and there revenues for callees (and
not for callers).
Beside sharing interests with the callee that get

Online credit card processing
What''s a good way to process credit cards from our Rails application?
I like PayPal because of it''s name recognition but I don''t like the fact
that the user must leave our site; we are hoping for a tightly
integrated look-and-feel. We might also offer both, PayPal and our own
major credit card processing (see attached example screen shot).
I''ve heard of other
