Hi, Sorry to bug people with this what must be a very trivial question. I've got a Mandrake 8.0 installation and have been trying in vain to get CodeWeavers Wine (preview #3) installed. I've downloaded and installed the 'blessed' version of itcl from the CodeWeaver's website (itcl-8.3.2-7mdk.i586.rpm) and am still getting the itcl not found error when I try to run winesetup.

I've been tearing hair out for days over this stuff ... hopefully someone here can enlighten me further. I've managed to get wine to the stage where it appears to be installed as per the codeweaver site .... have tried both the "fake_windows" & windows partition methods, but in both cases when I try running any windows application installer it bombs out within seconds,

I am using the version of wine that came with RedHat 7.2. I just noticed that Codeweavers has their own distribution of wine that includes what looks like a convenient setup configuration utility. What are the pros and cons of uninstalling what I got from RedHat and downloading and installing the rpm from Codeweavers? Thanks

I am trying to install the Codeweavers version of wine (pre-release 2) and I am having problems. When I try to install (using rpm), I get the message "installing package codeweavers-wine-20010112-1 needs 7Mb on the / filesystem". My / filesystem is not overly large, but I still have approx 60Mb available on /. Is the error stating that the install requires 7Mb on /, or it needs 7Mb more

What is the difference between the offerings of WineHQ and CodeWeavers? I thought the two collaborate. I'm building on Mac Intel.
