Does weight route and nat make sense ?
After many attempts to get weight multipath routing
to work reliable on my NAT firewall, I am beginning to
think, maybe it simply does not make sense to combine
them together.
I get various kinds of problems with this configuration,
especially with long-connecting session ( eg PcAnywhere ).
After various investigations, my conclusion is that

Inquiry:External USB modem and Remote PC Access?
Dear All
Please be informed that I checked for the presence of internal modem on my
CentOS server , as the followings :
#dmesg |grep -i modem
#lspci |grep -i modem
#lshw |grep -i modem
According to the output , it seems that my CentOS client does not contain
internal modem . So I decided to add external USB modem and make use of an
PCAnyWhere like application that enables for Remote PC Access .

"ServerAliveInterval" and "ServerAliveCountMax" doesnt work in openssh50?
Hi OpenSSH team,
We found that openssh5.0 has a bug with the "ServerAliveInterval" and "ServerAliveCountMax" options.
This function doesnt work at all, which means when the Maxtime reached, the ssh will not kill the connection and prompt the infomation "Connection Timedout" as it used to do.
We built the openssh5.0p1 code on the a Linux box, and use the

IPSec pass through
I''m getting insane here. I''m running shorewall 1.3.11 with iptables

how to list variables enclosed in an environment
I'm having trouble with a Bioconductor package, an variable expected in an
environment does not seem to be there. As part of my investigation of the
problem (most likely on my end) I'd like to list the variables contained in
an environment. If you have an environment loaded, lets call it "pkgEnv',
how does one find what it does contain? Mark

percent correctly predicted (PCP) zeros for hurdle model
Hello all,
I am using the hurdle model for fitting my count data using the pscl package
which is working fine. However, I am stuck with the problem of calculating
the percent correctly predicted (PCP) zeros for hurdle model. The method I
am trying to use to achieve this is 'hitmiss' in the pscl package (ref:
http://www.inside-r.org/packages/cran/pscl/docs/hitmiss).

predictions from hurdle model
I ran a negative binomial logit hurdle model and am now trying to plot the
effects of a continuous predictor variable (the only variable in my model)
on the count and zero component and the overall mean response. I'm confused
because for some values, the predicted overall mean is higher than the mean
of the non-zero counts (range of predicted overall means=2.2-11.0; range of
non-zero count

Question on glm.nb vs zeroinfl vs hurdle models
Good afternoon,
I?m in need of an advice regarding a proper use of glm.nb, zeroinfl or hurdle with my dataframe.
I can not provide a self-contained example, since I need an advice on this current dataset and its ?contradictory? results.
So.... i have a dataset which contains 1309 cases and 11 variables, highly right-skewed and heavily zeroinflated (with over 1100 cases that have 0 value

Improving packets/sec and data rate - v1.0.24
Hi Jared,
I've seen the same while testing on digital ocean, I think it's the context
switching that happens when sending a packet.
I've done some testing with wireguard and that has a lot better performance
but it's still changing quite a lot and only does a subset of what
tinc does so probably not a stable solution.

hurdle model - count and response predictions
Hello,
I'm using pscl to run a hurdle model. Everything works great until I get to
the point of making predictions. All of my "count" predictions are lower
than my actual data, and lower than the "response" predictions, similar to
the issue described here (
https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2012-August/320426.html) and here (

FW: opiekey segfault ... isn't that harmfull? it's setuid root
Hi,
I dunno much about exploiting, but I was wondering about the setuid root
program 'opiepasswd' to use one-time-passwords.
When having a seed of (null) and a sequence of -1, I get a segfault.

text works with the postscript device?
Dear R experts,
R (0.63) does not seem to write me any text in a PS file.
Trying
x11()
plot(12)
text(5,5, "Hello World")
works fine.
Now I would like to have the same as a PS file.
postscript("foobar.ps")
plot(12)
text(5,5,"Hello World")
dev.off()
Gives me a PS file with the plot -- but without the
"Hello World".
Why? I'm completely clueless.
Ciao

Question about the negative binomial hurdle model with random effect using REML.
Dear All,
I am wondering about the fitting negative binomial(NB) hurdle model with
random effect using REML estimation method in R.
We can fit regular hurdle model without random effect using ML method as
following.
hurdle(pkg)....
But, I couldn't figure out how I can fit NB hurdle model with random effect
using REML in R.
Please give me a tip.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,

Improving packets/sec and data rate - v1.0.24
Hi,
Terribly sorry about the duplicated message.
I've completed the upgrade to Tinc 1.0.31 but, have not seen much of a
performance increase. The change looks to be similar to switching to
both aes-256-cbc w/ sha256 (which are now the default so, that makes
sense).
Out tinc.conf is reasonably simple:
Name = $hostname_for_node
Device = /dev/net/tun
PingTimeout = 60
ReplayWindow = 625
