I have the original Unreal Windows version CD and would like to play it on Linux but can't get the Loki version to recognize the CD. I spent hours the other night trying to re-map my Logitech USB wireless gamepad for playing games in Wine. I added registry keys all over the place with the cryptic X,Y,Z,Rx nonsense but nothing would seem to work. Does anyone know how to do this properly, or is it broken? I'm trying to map the right thumbstick for looking around and left stick for moving in Rune.

How can i adjust the screen resolution in heroes 3 wog ? My current resolution is 800 X 600 and i want to set it to 1024 X 768. Can i do this using "wine regedit" ? I was unable to find the settings in the game.

I'm playing Heroes of Might and Magic II, and it's working as expected--except that music from the CD will not play (all other sounds work fine). This is an issue not experienced by other users, so I have some hope that it can be solved; I'm just not sure how to do it, though. I hope someone can give me a hint. Heroes of Might and Magic II includes the CD music as audio CD tracks.

I just upgraded my video card from an 8800GT to a Radeon HD 5770. I've got the proprietary 'fglrx' driver installed. I am using Compiz/Emerald as my window manager and compositor, with the desktop cube enabled. When I launch City of Heroes full-screen and then try to rotate the cube via hotkey the cube rotates to a new face and immediately repaints City of Heroes over the top of it.

How can I install City of Heroes so that all the users of this computer can access it? I installed it according to some instructions I found which placed it in /home/wootcat/.wine/drive_c/Program Files, which means it only shows up for me. Any other users on this machine don't see it. Thanks!

Trying to install company of heroes. On wine 1.1.20, it would install but not run ("hardware spec does not meet requirements"). Since then I have installed winetricks directx9, divx, msi2, allcodecs, ogg and quicktime72 and upgraded to wine 1.1.21. Now an install attempt fails because "...\windows32\msi.exe" is missing. Any suggestions as to how to put this file back?
