Font control under Wine
I'm wondering if there is a way to control the fonts with wine. I'm trying to run a game called Stars! under Wine. The first release was the RPM that came bundled with Mandrake 7.2. That worked fine and the fonts seemed mostly normal (occasional graphic glitches but nothing that couldn't be read) but whenever the program ended, it hung and popped up a debug dialog and would

How to pipe debugmsg to a file?
Is there a wine option to send the log output to a file? I'm doing the following: wineconsole --debugmsg +all program_name parm1 parm2 parm3 > /mylog.txt mylog.txt is not receiving a copy of the millions, nay billions!, of messages output. I'm using Redhat 7.3 and the 10/07/2002 RPMs. - Bill

Does CentOS has problems with Norton Ghost 2003 images?
Hello all We have two very important workstations dedicated to tasks of development and investigation. At the moment we have installed a dual boot platform with CentOS 4.0 and Windows XP Proffessional SP2. In order to do backups of these machines we need to create an image with Norton Ghost 2003. We have worked with Ghost during several years with different platforms (Red Hat, White Box Linux,

Authorisation question
My authentication (signup/login) is up and running in my app, now I need to implement an authorisation system. Its not going to be a complex one. One admin (me) and then normal members and premium members. Any tutorials or tips on a simple way to get this running? Thanks. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Stars! kills X-Server
While playing Stars! wine sometimes kills the X-Server. This happend infrequently in all Versions of wine I tried, but this time I managed to generate a bugreport. I use wine with managed windows, this seems to be the most stable setting for Stars. To start wine I used wine -debugmsg +relay -language De_DE -- stars\!.exe -s -m >& ~/`date +winedebug_%Y%m%d.txt` | wolfgang@erwin:~>

[LLVMdev] DWARF unmangled subprog name (DW_AT_name)
The use case is getting the short name for backtraces. There are other options, but I figured it was worth a shot trying to access from the DWARF structure because what we need is already stored there anyway. How to convert numbers to words?
I am trying to convert numbers to English words, e.g. 123 -> One hundred twenty three. After some searching, I have been unable to find any info on this. I could certainly write code to do it, but my question is this: Does anyone know of a function that does this? Thanks, Derek McCrae Norton

tough activerecord problem
I have an application that is using active record outside of rails. the app works fine w/o the activerecord code, but when I added activerecord to the mix I started having trouble with constants not being recognized, e.g.: [echo] 1) Error: [echo] test_pipeline_cruncher(IntradayCruncher::TestPipelineCruncher): [echo] NameError: uninitialized constant INFO [echo]

session logging
Consider all the text that one sees on the console during an R session. Is there a way, within R, to make all this text--both the "output" and the "messages"--automatically get copied to a single text file, in addition to seeing it on the console? If I remember to save the console to a file at the end of my R session, that does it. But (1) That requires pointing and

ipchains question
I have a couple questions that I will submit separately. When I have IPchains running I can't get my samba box to show up in network neighborhood, but when I turn ipchains off the box shows up. Cant receive calls after network goes down and up
Hi, I have several Grandstream phones connected to Asterisk, some behind NAT and others not. If I reboot all the phones, everything is fine. Should the connection go down, and then come back again, those behind a NAT are still able to make calls, but are unable to receive calls. -- Executing Dial("SIP/1239-ba74", "SIP/1242|60|t") in new stack Jan 12 23:45:19

How to cap table with active record
We want to use SQL/active record for logging but limit the table size so that older messages disappear off of the table Some process has to run periodically to do that. Suppose I want to keep my table size to not much bigger than 50,000,000 rows or so. What is the easiest, most efficient way to delete any extra rows that there may be ? This is an SQL/active record problem I have not encountered

PRI for Data and Voice
Hi, Currently I only have 1 PRI which I am using for dial-in customers. The line is connected to a Portmaster3. I have never used more than 10 concurrent channels. The calls can be both analog or ISDN. It would be a waste to order another PRI for my Asterisk box. Is there any way of splitting a PRI into 2 PRI's of 15 channels each, or plugging the PRI into the * box and it send the data

Open CallerID Database?
Hey Guys, I'm curious if there's an interest in a free, CallerID database? For those of you in the same spot we are, our current provider only provides us with the CND, excluding CNAM. Would creating a public database, managed by users be worthwhile to anyone? Thanks - Any input is greatly appreciated. -- Robert Norton SophMedia LLC Operations Manager Cell: 480-234-4312 Office:

I have a "list" of character vectors. I'm trying to see if there is a way (in a single line, without a loop) to pull out the first element of all the vectors contained in the list. listOfVectors[1:length(listOfVectors][1] doesn't work. ========================== If you want more details..
