winelib and compiling MFC
Hi,
The company I work for, has asked me to use winelib to port some code, however I have a problem compiling the MFC. I run
winemaker 0.5.7
with options:
'winemaker --lower-uppercase -nomfc --dll ./ > \ winemaker_output.txt'
No errors in file or stderror; further winemaker accesses the correct directories.
But when I run ./configure as:
'./configure --with-wine=/usr/bin \

Error with 1.9.0 - Invalid HOMEDRIVE
I installed R project 1.9.0 on Windows XP. The installation went well.
Then, I rebooted. Next, I clicked the icon under Programs in the Start
menu and received this error, "Fatal Error: Invalid HOMEDRIVE". I
clicked OK to the error message. The program does not start. I went to
a DOS prompt and did "echo %HOMEDRIVE%" and it returned "C:". This

winelib problems with .configure
I am attempting to use winemaker on a relatively straightforward
Windows App that we have. Just a little background, we started the
effort by first evaluating our application in Wine itself and obtained
very good results. Now, we're moving on to try and compile a version
for Linux by using Winelib and running into this problem. I ran
winemaker with this: winemaker --lower-all which finished

Can't get xapian-core 1.05 to build under windows xp
Here is the output I get from nmake.
I am not a guru at getting C programs to build under windows, I never had
any troubles I could not solve on OSX :-(
I am using the released sources, I have Visual Studio 2005, I have the make
files from lemur. I read ALL the readme.txt file before starting.
And this is what I get.

Excel on Wine
I have been playing with Wine for the past year and admiring its
progress.
I am most interested in running Excel on it. For a while, I had about
80% functionality out of it but lately it (Excel 5) has been crashing
before it is fully loaded. First it puts up a dialog window saying it
can't use shared objects and then another window saying it can't use VBA
and then crashes. Thus now

problem building an R package under Windows XP with calls to NAG C routines
Hello all,
I was able to create R packages under windows XP in the past using the
dynamic NAG C library for windows XP (Mark 6).
Recently, I changed computers and I am now using the static NAG C library
for windows XP (Mark 7) to create a simple R package (called "test") which
simply returns random numbers simulated using repetitive calls to a NAG C
routine (uniform random

Using winemaker / building wine DLLs
Hi.
I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question, or if the
wine-devel list is more appropriate; please let me know if I should ask
over there.
I'm trying to build, using winemaker/winegcc/etc, a DLL for use with a
Windows binary. This is a somewhat unusual case, in that this library is
actually explicitly being written for a Windows binary that will run in
Linux (I'm

rhinoceros 2.0
I have a general question to anyone that has run winemaker to port a windows
application in linux.
Rhinoceros 2.0 has run on wine version 20020512, but I want to get it to
run without using wine. Can someone walk me through the steps for using
winemaker to do this?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Compiling MFC with Winelib - was Need advice porting app
I've changed the message thread to compiling MFC with Winelib because
I believe that is the real essence of my issue at hand. If I can
figure out how to compile MFC then I will have solved my dillemma of
which way to choose in porting my app to Linux. If I can't then I can
use the only path available.
So, there is a big vacant spot in the WineLib users guide for
compiling MFC. I've

Ogg Vorbis SDK.
Hi, I've started making an Ogg Vorbis SDK, as per IRC topic instructions :)
Some questions:
Its just targetting MSVC right? Not borland/whatever?
Should it install the headers/libraries in the msvc dir (c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\(Include|Lib)), or should it put them in the same directory as the document (c:\Program Files\Ogg Vorbis SDK\(Include|Lib)), and have the sample
