Need help installing some software
I need help installing some software. I've tried with Red Hat's version
of wine, Transgaming's version, and the CVS version (latest try is
wine-cvs-opengl-120902-1 from http://wine.dataparty.no/).
I get different results with all of them.
Could anyone do a walkthrough with me using any of the above versions?
Sometimes it seems like there is just a registry problem, other times it

New printing concept of wine
Hi,
I´m allways using the recent versions from cvs (prebuild from
dailywine) and I stated that I have to reconfigure my wine printing.
Before I used the wineps.drv driver but now wine seams to work with
the printers defined in /etc/printcap.
But there are some little questions left by me although I got it
printing well:
1.
How can I make another printer as default printer different from

Pegasus & Wine
Hello,
I was a happy Wine user running Pegasus for a while, and then the
pace of progress overtook my enthusiasm (I didn't feel like upgrading
all of the RPM's on my RH6.X box to acomodate the newer glibc, etc.)
Recently I have started with a new Hard Drive, installed RH 7.0, and
upgraded the necessary RPM's. Pegasus starts up fine, and seems to be
doing OK, except whenever I am

I'm running Mandrake 8.0.
Got wine from a rpm generated from 10/01/2001 CVS from DataParty.
Have a no windows installation.
Found and fixed some install and permission problems.
Found and fixed some confide and more permission problems with
winecheck.
I'm getting critical errors for my sound system that I would expect
without having sound configured on this linux installation.

Wine and Derive 5
Hi,
I am running the mathematic program Derive 5 in wine so far successful but
it doesn't display the Greek and mathematic symbols correctly.
The are some fonts in wine dir, but they are not recognized by mkttfdir.
Has anyone got the symbols working? Or has anyone got ideas?
TIA

Problems running HL with todays wine snapshot
Hi,
I tried to get HL running with Wine, but some problems occured:
With fresh HL-Installation it keeps asking me for the HL-CD even if I
mounted it correctly. Drive setup of wine is correct (isn't complaining
about a missing drive)
I read that installing 1.1.0.8 helps, so I did, but with this patch HL is
not even starting, errormsg is

X-IMail-SPAM-Connection DNS Sudo ANI vs True ANI
Hello All,
I'm having problems with international calling via Global Crossing. I'm
told I need to send a true ani versus a sudo ani. What is the difference and
how can I configure asterisk to do this. Global Crossing is denying calls
with sudo anis.
Thanks,

Tip: Missing Libraries and Wineserver on RH 7.1
I compiled up the most recent version of Wine, and needed to
run the script below. Wine then works fine.

# Wine on RH 7.1:

# WB is the location of the build.
# LD_LIBRARY_PATH tells the shell where the missing libraries are.
# PATH tells the shell where to find wineserver.

Problem building wineserver
I have posted this problem in another topic but I think I should open this one cause the other topic was about an error loading a dll file ... never mind that...
My current problem is that I can not get wine to work and I've followed the instructions from: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=14147&iTestingId=34574&bShowAll=true

wineserver: /root/.wine/config is not a valid registry file
Hi!
When I'm trying to run wine (I've tried many compilations), I got something
like that:
wineserver: /root/.wine/config is not a valid registry file
Why I'm not using /etc/wine.conf, /usr/etc/wine.conf or
/usr/local/etc/wine.conf? Because wineserver wants only
$HOME/.wine/config...
When I delete this file wineserver 'says' that I don't have configuration

wineboot && wineserver
Hi all,
I'm currently writing a simple script for a few friends to install a
soft with wine.
The point is wineserver is not in the path of my user. Should I call it
directly from /usr/lib/wine ?
Another wine bin is not found : wineboot ? Is it linked with my distro
(Kubuntu/Debian based) ? Is it included in a lib I did not install ? Is
it installed in further versions (I use 20041019,

wineserver and kernel 2.6-test10
Hi.
I've tried GTA3 on wine with the kernel 2.6-test10 and I've found it a lot
faster than with the 2.4.22.
The problem is that the games is very fast but it's not smooth, once a second
it'll block for some millseconds but this not happen always and not with the
same frequency... this happens the same with or without kernel preemption.
After some tryes I've discovered that

could not exec wineserver
When I try to execute:
wine "sol.exe"
it gives this error:
-----
wine: could not exec wineserver
-----
My system is:
SuSE 7.0 (if I'tm not mistaken: glibc 2.1?)
codeweavers-wine-20010305-1.i386.rpm
itcl-3.1.0-79.i386.rpm
win98 on other partition
I already added /opt/wine/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf; this solved a previous
problem.
Can anyone help? Thanks!
