Joining Active Directory & wbinfo -u
Hi, I was able to join the domain correctly and from what I Understand I should see it added as A computer on my Windows 2008 Server PC. Is this true? But when I do a wbinfo -u I do not see my domain users listed. I was wondering if this is because we installed winbind4 rather than winbind? I installed samba4 and winbind4 in Ubuntu 11.04 LTS Thanks for everyones help, Scott root at

Samba with dns error Failed to connect to our DC
Hi, I just installed Ubuntu Server and Ubuntu classic desktop. Now I am trying to join active directory and I get this DNS error and failed to connect to the DC. How to fix this error plus I noticed on my windows 2008 Server that my Ubuntu server showed up as a Computer and not a domain controller. Is this correct? I would think it would show up as a DC just as it does when I joined my 2003

[LLVMdev] LLNL wants one of you (as an HPC compiler and tool developer)
Hi everyone, Colleagues of mine at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), having seen the advantages of working closely with LLVM, have decided to toss their hat into the ring and would like to hire an LLVM-focused compiler engineer. I collaborate with LLNL regularly, and I'm excited that they're taking this step. I expect that a qualified applicant will find this position both

Issue while Running SSH from a Windows Service
Hi All - It seems to be an odd scenario. I have a simple ssh command which establishes connection with a UNIX machine and executes some commands over there. When I ran the command from command window, I was able to successfully run them. In reality I wanted the ssh command to be invoked by a windows 2003 service. I tried to debug the ssh command while running from a service and I get the below

Credit Card machines / interop
Hi all, One of the areas I am trying to research before I can confidently start deploying Asterisk is "Credit Card Machines". (PDQ / Streamline machines / any similar) I'm talking about the credit card swipe boxes at point of sale desks. I believe they dial out to the specific bank provider everytime a card is swiped. My question is: - Does anyone have any experience using

My smb.conf file works on Fedora 11, but not Fedora 16
I setup a new box with Fedora 16. I have Firewall and SELinux disabled. I can ping the IP and host name from the outside. I copied the smb.conf file from a similar box that was running Fedora 11 to my new box. When I try to browse the shares on the new box, I keep getting rejected "cannot browse the shares". This happens whether I browse from a Windows or Linux system. What am I

Siemens Optipoint 400 and Voice Mail
Hi all, I have looked through the wiki guides and also Siemens user guides but they haven't proven useful. Nor has the normally trusty googling. Also have upgraded to the latest Optipoint 400 Standard SIP firmware. Having read a few previous threads on the Optipoint it seems that there isn't much take up with Asterisk. Which seems a shame as my experience with testing it has been

Matrix column name
Dear R users, Having searched the mail archive I think the conclusion was that it is not possible to have a column name when there is only one column in the matrix. But I thought I'd check with the more experienced users. What I tried to do was: in a loop I pick a column, record the column name and remove the column from the matrix. But when there were 2 columns left, after one column was

I fed a vector of p-values from about 20 million anova tests to the package q-value and obtained this output: > qsummary(asso_p.qvalue) Call: qvalue(p = asso_p.vec) pi0: 1 Cumulative number of significant calls: <1e-04 <0.001 <0.01 <0.025 <0.05 <0.1 <1

[LLVMdev] RFC: Upcoming Build System Changes
Daniel, I'm just a 42 year old former NeXT and Apple Dev who back in Mechanical Engineering is excited about OpenCL/OpenGL and all that is with LLVM/Clang, but I've got to say that even though my plans include learning Python for various areas of development the last I want to deal with is a Build system needing it to compile a Compiler Suite. Autotools is a bag of hurt, always has
