Using the CR repo
Folks I am trying to use the CR repo in for yum, but find that nothing is getting updated. The repository isn't even listed in the yum run. The file contents of /etc/yum.repo.d/CentOS-CR, after I adjusted the priority is: # CentOS-CR.repo # # The continuous release ( CR ) repository contains rpms from the # next point release of CentOS, which isnt itself released as yet. # # Look at

CentOS-6.0 Continuous Release ( CR ) repository
I don't really understand the function of this repository, or rather why the RPMs in it are not in the standard repository? I read the outline at <http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/CR>, and added the repository on two CentOS machines. On yum-updating some 450MB of updates were installed. Both machines appear to be running perfectly well. -- Timothy Murphy

CentOS6 CR repo - depsolving problem
All, Has anyone else had a problem with the CR repo on a 6.4 or 6.5 system? I have a test VM that has the CentOS6 CR repo enabled and it recently (well a week or so) started having dependency problems. It's choking on dependencies for ca-cerfificates. Obviously there aren't any CR packages yet for 6.5 so a zero package count and empty directory on the mirror [0] are legitimate. But

6.8 CR Packages
We should have the CR packages, that will eventually be turned into the full 6.8 point release and ISO set, to the QA team today for testing. I expect that it will take 1 to 2 days in QA and then those will be ready for release into the 6.7/cr/ repository. That means that no later than Monday, May 16th (and maybe as early as sometime within the next 24 hours), the CR packages, including the

Just an FYI; hopefully someone who knows will be able to fix :-) http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories says CentOS-Fasttrack - This repository contains bugfix and enhancement updates, issued from time to time, between update sets that may be rolled into the next update set. See this Readme file for more details. This repository has a config file located here for

Pull Request wiki.c.o/AdditionalResources/Repositories
Could someone please replace the contents of http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories with the contents of http://wiki.centos.org/PatrickDGarvey/AdditionalResources/Repositories ? I believe I have removed as much of the link rot on that page as I am capable. If someone believes the links I have provided are not appropriate for the purposes of the article, please let me know.

RTL8111 Wiki Pages
Howdy, It appears that CentOS 5.2's support for the RTL8111B/C chip is incomplete. The wiki has some blanket statements regarding this support: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/HardwareList/CentOS5/RealTek/r1000 http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/HardwareList/RealTekRTL8111b I could dive in an make the changes *I* think need to happen but I'd like to talk to people

raw text Access for http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories, Please.
I would like to be given sufficient access to http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories that I may copy the raw text to a SubPage of my HomePage. I propose to edit the links on that SubPage and submit it for review by anyone who may have sufficient knowledge to validate my changes. I have yet to work with the RPM Package Manager, so I will be making edits that need to be reviewed

KB -- I made those changes several months ago (Sep/Oct I believe), with discussion in IRC. This was after a spate of people in the main channel having issues with Atomic (there's a name that's going to end up causing problems...) and the continued use of RPMForge/RepoForge, with no indication that they're really really bad. As well as the recognition of the reality that there are a

HardwareList - webcams
Hi List, The hardware list page on the Wiki: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/HardwareList says: "I'd like to see this page as an entry point for hardware that does not work with CentOS out of the box or only with some effort. I do not see a need for a list which states all working hardware." I'd like to ask if we can make a small exception to that rule for

CentOS-6 updates
We are currently building and testing our CentOS-6.6 release. It normally takes about 2-4 weeks for us to get a full point release out. We can not release updates that are based on 6.6 until we get 6.6 out. All current updates will be released on the same day as the release. We have a CR repo ( http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/CR ) and we are likely going to release the
