Continuous Release (CR) Repository updates are released for CentOS-7 (1503)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
While we are working on the next CentOS-7 release (tag: 1503), a
majority of rpms to be included in this release have completed an
initial QA cycle and we feel they are ready to be deployed on machines
already running CentOS-7. While there might still be some small
changes in the content of these packages, typically we see a very low
churn. However,

CentOS-5.7 SRPMS
Are the 5.7 source RPMs going to be mirrored to http://www.<my favorite mirror>/centos/ 5.7/os/SRPMS/
and http://www.<my favorite mirror>/centos/ 5.7/updates/SRPMS/ as was the case for the previous releases ?
Or are they permanently banished to http://vault.centos.org/5.7/ as per the readme.txt currently in place on most mirrors ?
Thanks

Hi,
I find myself in a complicated situation and would like to ask the
oracle (choke!) for help. I would like to install the packages from
the continuous release repo and the yum config for this repo says

well, I definitely do not want to allow worldwide outgoing http so I

Sorry .. all the SRPMs except centos-release and anaconda are in 6.8/cr/
in vault.
Let me do anaconda and centos-release now and then I'll hardlink the
others into 6.9/os along with those.
Should be out in about an

Wiki CR Repo Link Defective
On http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/CR
the link to a copy of 64 bit CR repo is not working.
The link is:

Question on CR
I've been re-reading
http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2011-August/017689.html
I'm not clear as to when an update would go into the normal updates
repository and when it'd go into the cr repository.
Please don't take this the wrong way; I'm not attacking; I'm just trying
to understand how this works.
My best guess is that upstream is now 5.7 and bug

copying to a local mirror / repository
I am using CentOS on a private network which can?t access the Internet so I want to create a local repository of packages on one or more DVDs, and get it installed on the private network. Someone had done this for CentOS 7, but not for CentOS 6. I have a VM running 6 so I am trying to create it for the previous major version. I thought there would be some obvious instructions on the

Keep CentOS 5.5 from upgrading?
Thanks,
I'm trying to keep CentOS 5.5 from upgrading to 5.6 because of my
issue with the time sync. I thought I had it figured out till today. I
have tried google for help but with no luck. Can someone point me to a
page or link that will give me a good idea as to how to stop the upgrade
but still allow me to update my 5.5 packages?
This is what I tried, that is not working

CentOS source rpm repository setup
Hi.
I thought I might set up my CentOS 6 system with a source rpm repository
config, so that I'll be able to download srpm files via "yumdownloader
--source" or similar. I'm thinking that in order to this, I have to add
something like the following to the yum repos config:
[base-source]
name=CentOS-$releasever - Base (SRPMS)
