Boot fails with lvm snapshot
Hi Gordon,
my dracut package is the latest available for Centos7 (this occur just
after my "yum update" and reboot). It is dracut-033-568.el7.x86_64 in
CentOS Linux release 7.8.2003 (Core)
I'm going to rebuild my initrd as suggested with the snapshot setup.
Thanks for the links.

rsyncing directories - sanity check
hey guys,
I need to mount a different volume onto /var so we have more room to
breathe. I'll be turning 3 servers into an elasticsearch cluster. And for
some reason when the servers were ordered the large local volume ended up
being /usr when the ES rpm likes to store it's indexes on /var.
So I'm syncing the contents of both directories to a different place, and
I'm going swap

chainboot Windows on second drive
Hi,
I'm new to the list.
I've replaced grub by extlinux to multi boot my system. Now, I can't manage to
boot one of my systems.
I have 5 hard drives, 3 of them being part of a raid0 array, and one of them
being here for backup purposes (can be removed). So the total 'logical' drives
number is 2.
First drive:
- primary partition holding a rescue Windows XP system (ntfs)

mount bind problem
In /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit,
there's "mount -a -n -t nonfs,nfs4,smbfs,ncpfs,cifs,gfs,gfs2i,glusterfs -O
no_netdev".
I have other same type servers. And on other servers with same /etc/fstsb,
file system is correct.
There's no difference between normal server's rc.sysinit and this problem
server's rc.sysinit too.
Please tell me other possibility which I have to check.

automatic repartitioning
Hello all.
Does anyone have any suggestions for making centos cloud images that can automatically repartition the root device to resize the filesystem?
All the Ubuntu UEC images do this, so using the same image, you can launch cloud instances of a variety of flavors and the VM instance will repartition the root disk and resize the fs.
The Ubuntu images utilize scripts in the initramfs dpkg that

MFC/R2
Hi all,
I have begun the release of my MFC/R2 protocol software. At
http://www.opencall.org/installing-mfcr2.html there are instructions for
installing what I have released so far. This is the MFC/R2 protocol
software, and a test program. The software to interface Asterisk to the
MFC/R2 code will be released shortly. It used to work, but it hasn't
been touched for a while, and Asterisk

[LLVMdev] [FastPolly]: Update of Polly's performance on LLVM test-suite
Hi all,
I have evaluated Polly's performance on LLVM test-suite with latest LLVM (r188054) and Polly (r187981). Results can be viewed on: http://188.40.87.11:8000.
There are mainly five new tests and each test is run with 10 samples:
clang (run id = 27): clang -O3
pollyBasic (run id = 28): clang -O3 -load LLVMPolly.so
pollyNoGen (run id = 29): pollycc -O3 -mllvm -polly-optimizer=none
