FreeBSD 7.0-RC3 (for amd64/i386 only) Available
We're doing a "mini-RC3" to encourage testing of the Highpoint driver
(hptrr) backout. Testing of 7.0-RC2 showed there were problems with the
driver update done between RC1 and RC2.
Because it's a "mini-RC" targetted at testing of one particular thing we
have not bothered with setting up FreeBSD Update. You can use the
normal cvsup-and-build method of doing an update

How to disconnect the ISO image using virsh
Hello,
I can attach disc ISO image to cd-rom from virsh.
And I can replace the ISO image from disc1 to disc2 using the 2nd example.
(example)
attach-disk guest01 /root/disc1.iso hdc --driver file --type cdrom
--mode readonly
attach-disk guest01 /root/disc2.iso hdc --driver file --type cdrom
--mode readonly
My question is, how can I disconnect the image from the cdrom drive using virsh.
Because,

Guide to stripping Centos 3
I responded to a post in the Dell poweredge mailing list
earlier today. My answer was off the top of my head, with a
bit of experimentation. The content may be useful in the
Cenyos context as well to admin's looking to strip the size of
an install to the bare bones.
Comment welcomed. Can anyone see any packages which I have
missed?

World of Warcraft Installation
I'm trying to install World of Warcraft on Ubuntu 6.06. I have
followed the instructions on AppDB to build the patched version of
Wine 0.9.18, and am now trying to install it. I am trying to install
from iso files on my hard drive, not CDs. I have created a directory
/media/fakecd, and I do "sudo mount -o loop disc1.iso /media/fakecd".
I also used winecfg to add e: to the device

Redhat Authconfig errors
Ok, I've got most everything setup, but I'm not able to confirm
pam_ldap and nss_ldap are working properly. (Actually given the
examples in SBE, they still appear to be returning information from
local files rather than the ldap info.)
I wanted to go back and check my authconfig and reset the parameters.
However now when I do a authconfig I get this:

6.1-BETA4-i386-disc2.iso - only usr/share/doc, no usr/src?
Does the 6.1-BETA4-i386-disc2.iso contain only usr/share/doc, or for
some reason i am unable to see anything else? I was looking for
usr/src (and for a odd chance to have usr/ports); i suppose those
two trees would be available somewhere on some disc for RELENG_6_1.
I mounted the image as ...
mdconfig -a -t vnode -f /path/to/6.1-BETA4-i386-disc2.iso -u 0
mount -t cd9660 /dev/md0 /mnt

Kickstart issue: 'dialog' doesn't work in %post, CentOS 5.5
Hi, all.
I'm trying to customize a CentOS installation cd, but got trouble with kickstart.
I want to use dialog[1] for command line based user interface, but it can't display correctly in kickstart with CentOS 5.5. Same ks file works with CentOS 5.3 (both i386 and x86_64).
What's the different between CentOS 5.3/5.5? I can't find it in release notes.
And how can i fix it?
Thanks

32-bit Centos 5.1 kickstart hangs on xen domU HVM installation
I am trying to a install Centos 5.1 32-bit Xen HVM DomU onto a Centos 5.1
64bit DomU with the default xen installed and the kickstart hangs at random
points during the install process. Sometimes retrieving the image, sometimes
formatting the filesystem, sometimes installing the packages, etc.
I tried upgrading to xen 3.2 and encounter the same problem before
rebuilding back to stock Centos 5.1
